Even though being stoned is great along with whatever you do while stoned, i firmly believe that if you can get addicted to weed then you just have a personality that can become easily addicted on anything I disagree. For me it really depends on why and when you're using it. For example, if you use it because you're grieving for a period and you smoke everyday for a few months you'll find its hard to get out of the pattern and the addiction will be there. If you use it recreationally on the weekends it wouldn't ever be very addictive - much like alcohol use. I find that chart on the previous page to actually be quite deceptive. Its put weed next to caffeine and alcohol as though to suggest its not too bad. Alcohol withdrawals are up there with the worst - people die from going through it if they aren't medicated, etc. Even caffeine is a tough one. I'm addicted, only started going through withdrawals once where I had the worst migraine of my life and was vomiting constantly. Crazy feeling to have a coffee and have it disappear so quickly. Apparently the withdrawals for caffeine can last for a few weeks. I'm not too keen to try. The only issue with weed for me is its connection to mental illness (which the pot lovers always leave out in there charts).

A job is a job, it gets you money.
I basically just go into threads that have something to do with the Nix, but it's always funny seeing the arguments that go on in there

Sorta, but I think its more that the time between usage is much smaller that your body is used to having the drug in your system. Your body then becomes dependent on the drug. If you're only using it occasionally the chances of becoming dependent are much smaller. That's how I see it anyway.

If you do a job you enjoy then you never work a day in your life. Some of the posters on AF just bemuse me. Some proper fools on there.

Yeah, I've heard that saying many times, but it's not like this is something you're going to stay in for the rest of your life. I have absolutely no clue what I want to be/do, I don't know where I see myself in 5 years time, and yet everyone seems to expect me to have my future planned out already. I agree  Sometimes you wonder how these people even turn a computer on.

A lot of people would then come out of their grief/loss whatever, but still be addicted to the physical substance which was my original point around using it for grief but then becoming addicted. A lot of other people never resolve issues (which isn't that surprising if they're turning to drugs for help) and forever be addicted psychologically like you say. I'd say even for those people they would still have the physical addiction and their body a dependency also, but the psychological addiction is the predominant reason they use.

Im just at that stage where i know what i want to do and want to start doing it. A few jobs have ben advertised and im going to apply so i hope all goes well. But yeah, my current job is a chore at the moment. I was like you a year or so ago. Not sure what i wanted to do even though i was 3/4 way through my degree. Evnetually just sat down and sort of took a back seat and looked at everything and so on and then realised what i wanted. Even my parents would question if i was in the right degree at times and would tell me to change maybe, but i think i just looked at everything, managed to get a chance to experience a few things and decided then. Travelling helps to clear the mind and give a broad perspective of things. I just give up with AF most of the time.

Best of luck for applying :) Yeah, I think I just need a bit of time and a bit more experience. I'm at that stage in my life where I'm still trying to figure out who I am, but it's not a question that's easily answered. I would definitely love to go travelling, seeing the world is something that I'm interested in, but just don't have the money for. I would, but someone needs to be there to stick up for the Nix.

I want to work in Sports journalism, would love to work for a sports team but i also know i have to work my way up. Thanks, hope it goes well. Yeah, dont stress, sometimes others take longer than some people to decide and see what they want to do. Its not big deal, just try not to take the pressure from parents too heavily. Parents only want whats best and sometimes get worried when they see, what they perceive, as not much happening. Travelling is awesome, but like you say, money is a problem. Im lucky i can go Africa and Uk and a few other places and stay with family, so can save on accomodation and a lot of other things. Good thing for me there are enough Roar fans doing the job for us.

Ah, that sounds awesome! Sports journalism would be so cool to work in, but unfortunately I'm really useless at English, and I'm not pretty enough to be the next Mel Mclaughlin  I know parents only want what's best, but sometimes it's not helpful to put added pressure on, not for me anyway. I have an auntie in Adelaide, and some family who are temporarily living in England at the moment, but no one that I could really go and stay with. Plus airfares cost enough on their own  Sometimes there are too many :P I'm surprised I'm so functional considering I haven't had much sleep the past two nights, but I've got more energy than usual, and I'm actually happier than usual!

Im lucky i have a media pass for the A-league this season, albeit a restricted pass, so only access to the press box and post match press conference, but still, its so awesome sitting there with the journos in the box watching the games and then going for the presser after the games. After the Sydney game, Robbie Slater was chilling in our area and then lost his shit about Andy Harper because Harper said something silly or something like that. Led me to think Slater doesnt get on well with Harps, after some of the stuff he said. Its quite an awesome thing though, just takes hard work and lots of being bottom of the dog pile before you can get to the top. Yeah, parents can be a bit pushy sometimes, i guess its just different people handle things differently, you should be alright, just keep thinking positively and pushing forward, youll find what you want soon enough. Plane prices are ridiculous from here to anywhere. Even to fly to Melb is like 450 return. Its too damn much. When i was in England on holiday, they had offers for 1 pound one way to Turin and whole bunch of other places. Us aussies get ripped off big time, everyone says we a very expensive place.

OK forum, we were drunkenly debating about this after work last night...I wanna see what people on here say:
So you take a siamese twin home, one head wants to have sex with you, the other doesn't. They're joined at the waist and have 1 set of genitals. Is it rape?

Not if she/they/her/it is wet... 8-[ But quite frankly, if the only thing you can pull is a set of conjoined twins. You're a sick motherfucker.

The debate was sparked by someone producing a picture of Abigail and Brittany Hensel and the news that they/she is engaged.
