Still don't like the fact that the draw is rigged so that the same state champions play each other every year. Surely a 7 game tournament doesn't justify pairing up the closest states. Yup.

Ended 2-1. Wasn't the highest tempo game and Blacktown controlled it very well.

Does anyone on here have any idea whether a-league clubs will now be able to win their respective NPL conference or qualify for the NPL finals, i know in the past newcastle jets won the Norther NSW conference and didnt qualify, but now that all the a-league club they may be able to?

Saw the whole Hobart Olympia / Bayswater game.
Bayswater were by far the better side. It would have been interesting to see Olympia play with 11 v 11 in the second half when South Melb dominated last week, albeit against 10 payers with Hickey's red. Olympia arguably held their own against South Melb in the first half last week.
I was particularly impressed by Bayswater's central striker Heagney, and Sam who played in the left and right wings.Probably even more impressed with Sam, (or is it Sahr?) than Epifano for South Melb last week.
Have Sam and Heagney had HAL trials?
Well played Bayswater. I think they will win the final at home against Blacktown next week. For whatever reasons the NPL is becoming more even across the states.
Having said this, there are 3 Vic NPL teams in the FFA Cup out of the last eight.

Having said this, there are 3 Vic NPL teams in the FFA Cup out of the last eight. the more years of playing NPL Premier Leagues and FFA cup results I think we will see a clear pattern of which NPL clubs might be ambitious enough to move up to a higher standard if they decide to create a maximum 12 team national NPL competition.

Well thats right Timmo - more so which NPL clubs have the larger resource buying players, ambition ;) Decentric, helps playing a Final on home ground but don't discount Blacktown - their attack is pretty good if allowed the room, Mallia and Choi are sound. Edited by M.L.: 29/9/2015 02:28:21 PM

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.
