Where has adrtho gotten to? I miss reading the stuff he writes. He cops a lot of flak but he makes some good points and introduces important dialectics, I think.

Highkick was a moron who knew absolutely nothing about football. Apart from losing his ability to find a stream of a game anywhere in the world, this forum is much better off without him.

His greatest moments were during the World Cup when he said he would have scored when Leckie didn't because even though he had never played football in his life, he had played State League basketball (which in WA is played in front of approx. 50 family and friends) and therefore could handle the pressure.

He was prone to the over the top excitable outburst. Just it was usually overtly positive. then he got angry with "M80" subculture and he turned sour.

Unfortunately, I live too far away to meet up, but to me the best thing about football is bringing people together.

Anyone doing this, deserves praise.

I would've preferred to just talk shit about youse blokes instead of meeting you, but now you all know me.

Not sure if it sounds weird or not but I genuinely believe Bowden's FFT Community Rendesvouz thread has helped break down some barriers and withdrawals that some people would have previously had about meeting other users in real life. I've met a stack of fellow FFT guys now, and I think even a couple have mentioned to me that they would have felt even more weird about doing so had they not seen that many of us catch up routinely in a football environment.
