Also can we please go back to the old video referee system. None of this the referee gives his decision first bullshit. If the referee can't make the decision then send it upstairs and the video referee makes the decision with the technology available.

The idea of having to have evidence to overturn a decision etc is retarded. It's either a try or its not. I'd also like to see a minimal use of the system much like in Cricket with DRS. -PB

The dogs started well and didn't deserve that shoreline at the end, but our back line was just a class above. That move by RTS on Morris=d>
Also that try was just karma for the one given in the 04 grand final. Not that I hold a grudge over it or anything  The taking out of a Rooster support player came after that 'try' and came directly from a forward pass from Friend an NFL quarterback would be proud of. As for the 04 GF, I assume you mean Hazem's try, in which case at least he was over the line and it wasn't a double movement. Btw that's not to say the Roosters weren't the better team, there's no doubt about that, but what you can't deny is that Evans try completely changed the game. Edited by sydneycroatia58: 19/9/2015 08:08:57 AM Oh it definitely changed the game, and it was a terrible call. With the errors both teams made though I think whoever lost last night would know that if they played near their best footy they would've won.

I don't blame the video ref for last night, as Bill Harrigan said, with the options and footage he was given, he almost had to stay with the try decision. I'd like to see it like they have in the 20's. Each team gets a challenge each half, which they can use for any decision, but if they get it wrong they can't challenge/use the video red again that half. 99% of the time players know if it's a try/penalty etc.

Yep and lets not forget it wasn't the video refs fault, he had to do what he had to do. The poor call was the fact that Evans was held for an eternity before he flopped towards the line. -PB

That's what it would end up being, if you can't with 100% certainty give the try then you don't.

It was more than that Kane Evans try...a couple of plays earlier , Jake Friend threw a pass that was a metre forward, and that almost lead to a try as well.
Dave Smith needs to go...a banker with NFI about Rugby League and how to run a game. He should fuck off back to banking.

Fark rewatching the game, such a difference to score first for a change, not only that, to keep a team scoreless as well. -PB

Woeful call in the PNG v Jets game denies Anderson a superb try.
