At least the players and coaching staff have more class. True. But to be fair, a significant number of their points came from some shocking calls (or no calls in some instances) Well yes. Like I said NZ were the better team but that forward pass, literally 5m in front of the linesman was a shocker, and that led directly to a try and 7 points. The Kiwis are the best "cheaters" (or rule benders if you like) in the world. They are constantly pushing the boundaries of the rules, each taking turns so there's no repeat offenders so it's harder for the ref to sanction one of them. A perfect example early on was when an Australian was lying down in the ruck and the Kiwi picked the ball up and ran deliberately into him to draw the penalty. If he wasn't lying there there's no way the Kiwi would have even run that way. He would have just passed it. Probably not "illegal" but just one of the million little thing they do every game which disrupt the flow of the game and provide them with an advantage. They are the masters of it. Butthurt level 10000 Had no idea you were a low scum Kiwi boat person. Farking non-assimilating bloody Kiwi that probably has a silver fern sticker on the back of his car. That's it , gloves are off. You grew here I flew here with my whanau mate  I support Australia in all sports except rugby union. I would rather jump off a cliff than have a silver fern sticker on my car. Seriously, if you love NZ so much that you need a sticker on your car to tell everyone, fuck off back there. Honestly though I just cannot stand the wallabies. They just cannot take a loss. I'd literally support anyone against the Wallabies. I think it comes down to Channel 7 commentary back in the day, so biased. It really put me off adopting the wallabies. Exactly the same boat here. I've been pretty happy adopting Australia as my team but I will never support the Wallabies. The players are massively unlikable, the commentators can't stop blowing smoke up each others arses, the ARU is an old boys club for private school bellends and the fans are self-entitled elitist prats who carry on like the whole rugby world exists solely to stop them from reaching #runningrugby utopia. /rant But i do agree with Manrub, All Blacks have always been extremely good at the "Dark Arts" and it's why they always manage to dominate the breakdown. McCaw is so critical to the team is that he is a genius when it comes to interfering at the ruck without getting caught. He is the master of "finding himself" on the wrong side of the ruck, blocking support players from entering the ruck with momentum, grabbing the 9's limbs as he attempts to play the ball....... I played as a openside flanker and it's just part of the job but you always run the risk of a yellow whilst McCaw rarely get's penalised for it. The issue with all of this is that Australians in particular seem to think that their players don't do exactly the same thing  Off course they do it, they just aren't anywhere near as good.

Can confirm that Matt giteau is a great bloke.
I bet that pocock though is a bit of a wanker. I'm always sceptical of the whole "save the world" mantra from anyone.

Pocock's sound, as is Moore. Don't know much about many of the others but I'd be surprised to hear that Giteau, Drew Mitchell, Sio were dickheads True, I've always liked Pocock and Giteau. Good players with good heads on them. I find players like Beale, Hooper, Cooper and O'Connor to be massively unlikeable however.

That Phil Kearns is a painfully bias commentator. I can see why kiwis wouldn't like him. Meanwhile, the twitter sphere was set alight with one of the greatest tweets of all time on Halloween by some Englishman..... "I hope you Aussies have a sheep outfit for Halloween cos the All Blacks are gonna fuck you in the world cup" I'll pay that.

They gave it their all and, in spite of the scoreline, it was very close at the game situation. Some poor calls made it far more difficult for the Wallabies than it should have been with ten minutes to go.
But you're always going to get some good calls and some bad calls. The most frustrating thing about rugby is how difficult it is for the referees and how their influence can be pivotal. C'est la vie.
Lots of mistakes from us (especially at the abysmal line-out), but they fought back so well. And the ABs brought exactly what you'd expect clinical rugby across the park. They're a seriously decent team.

Didn't stay up as I wanted to watch the Joeys-Germany.
Apparently a lot of very controversial decisions. The last penalty, I gather, was just (if you follow the wording to the letter of the law). There were poor decisions for and against the Wallabies.
Unlucky Scotland but, from what I'm reading, they weren't exactly robbed. The yellow card was the major call which could be seen as rough. But they had other decisions go their way (or so I've read).
The bottom line is that if Australia do make the final and play the ABs, if they they play anything like that, they'll be thrashed. The ABs will bury them alive if they play like that. Foley missed 3 of 5 conversions. That's shocking.
The Wallabies were napping in defence at time (the opposite of the match against Wales) and gifted Scotland tries. They also tried stupid experimental things.
I sincerely hope they don't play that poorly again.
Also the booing of Foley at the end was very poor form, imo.
