Edited by iridium1010: 18/9/2015 09:22:33 PM Take me back a month or two ago and i would have said Australia is getting knocked out in the group stage. The scrum appears to be less shit now which is a miracle. Wales losing both Rhys Webb and Leigh Halfpenny is a huge game-changer as well, I'm not sure they are capable of coping without them.

Only saw the first half of the Fiji v Eng game and man it was pretty dam average.
Felt like the Ref & TMO were very poor and every call seemed to benefit England.
The penalty for the lifting tackle - personally didn't think that was necessary.
England's first try was your typical truck and trailer and Fiji should've received a penalty instead they gave it a penalty try for Eng and Fiji was reduced to 14 men for 10 minutes.
The penalty against Ratuniyarawa I think it was, when he was trying to clear up the ruck, genuinely didn't see anything wrong with what he did.
Anyway was very impressed Matawalu and my man love for Nadolo just gets stronger.
We may be in the group of death but after watching that first half I'm not very concerned by these two side to be perfectly honest.

Our group is tough, but the injuries for Wales should help and we're a good chance to beat England. Should get through the group but we'll need to be on our game. NZ obviously favourites for the whole thing but hopefully we can put in a good showing.

This could really spark the interest here for rugby. Still can't get my head around it.

I just cannot fathom this. Such a great result.
Gutted that Canada couldn't keep their score more respectable, but they'll only get better in the next few years.

That's why I love international rugby. Passion and emotion.
That finish was absolutely brilliant. They held onto the ball for 5mins and like 20 phases to score after the buzzer. And that try earlier where 10 Japanese people were in the rolling maul. =d>
Why didn't the Wallabies play like that when Jones coached us? We just kicked it away all the time

In football terms would this be the equivalent of Solomon Islands beating Brazil? or not quite.

Yea its an incredible achievement but seeing how South Africa was playing in the lead up to this tournament a result like this was certainly on the cards.

I'm including their performances at Cricket World Cups for the purpose of this embarrassment. Twice knocked out in the semis by the stupid rain rule?

Not particularly japanese at all Half the all-blacks are south pacific islanders and have been for 30 years. Would love to see a "Pacific Islands" team compete. 2 things would happen. The Islands team would be way more competitive than Tonga, Samoa etc by themselves and the all-blacks would be fucked. Good result all round.
