It's just that they make the FFA Cup mandatory for too many clubs (or the rounds start too early). Some of the State League 5 clubs are tiny and struggle to organise their players so early in the year. I know one of my local lower league clubs have about 70% of their players still involved in playing cricket on weekends and training twice a week for cricket, they struggle to get anyone turn up for anything until late March. FFA Cup entry in NSW is only mandatory for about 50 clubs where as in Victoria about 180 clubs are mandatory. Edited by thewitness: 15/2/2016 02:52:43 PM

Aww yiiii If it goes well we can always do more. I'm sure very view clubs would oppose the odd game of the early rounds streaming. The FFA only give a fuck when fox gives a fuck.

Grassroots Media Boost For FFA Cup Victorian Round 7 FFA Cup Games To Be Live Streamed The Westfield FFA Cup returns this Saturday as clubs across metropolitan and regional Victoria start the road to cup glory. FFV Media will have dedicated photographers, reporters and videographers at grounds to tell the 2016 Westfield FFA Cup story right from the very beginning in writing, pictures, video and on the FFV Podcast presented by Sportsmart. Teams from FFV Regional Affiliate Leagues, Metropolitan Leagues and Zagame's State Leagues will start the action this weekend with the Victorian Qualifying Round. Action continues through February and March with Round 1 (February 27-28), Round 2 (March 5-6), Round 3 (March 12-13) and Round 4 (March 20-21) to be played on consecutive weekends. Each week a 'match of the round' will have Westfield FFA Cup official balls, signage, photographer, videographer and a high level referee appointed to officiate the match. FFV will live video stream the four Victorian Round 7 Westfield FFA Cup matches this year. The four winners in Round 7 will qualify for the national Round of 32, where Hyundai A-League teams enter the draw. "With more than 200 Victorian clubs this season our state is ready for another successful year of Westfield FFA Cup," FFV CEO Peter Gome said. "Community and PS4 NPL Victoria clubs recognise the football benefits, exposure and commercial be nefits of going on a cup run. "With registrations open to play football in 2016 we want Victorians to see senior teams from all levels of the football pyramid in action in the Westifeld FFA Cup. Junior players can look at their club's senior team and pull on the boots dreaming of one day playing in this fantastic competition themselves. "We're excited to be putting teams who rarely enjoy the limelight on show to the national Football Family." Mr Gome said video streaming the four Round 7 games would be good preparation to ready Victoria's four national Round of 32 qualifiers for high level exposure. "Victorian clubs have dominated the FFA Cup and we think it's only fair the nation gets a chance to see what's coming in 2016" Mr Gome said. This weekend's Qualifying Round match of the round will be White Star Dandenong v Parkmore, played at Parkmore Soccer Club, 185 Chapel Road, Keysborough kicking off at 4:00pm on Saturday February 20, 2016. Holy Shit yes. Next year im hoping for one live match around till round 7. Aye, I would have preferred one "Match of the Day" each round rather than the whole of the last round. What I really want to see within 5 years is a regular Futbol Mundial style program on the early FFA Cup rounds. FFA and state media (maybe even fox or SBS) report on the results, show highlights where available but focus in particular on the story of the club. Talk about the clubs history, the struggles that are unique to them, the hero's who keep it running and the brave fans who turn up every week. Then even get interviews of A-League or Socceroos players who used to be juniors at these clubs. Help set the narrative before we even get to the national stage.
