It'd be quite easy as well for a zone to piggy back off the FFA Cup and use it as their own cup of sorts. E.g. The winner of the Northern Inland zone ends up playing the winner of the Mid North Coast zone. Each of those zones could make it mandatory for all clubs to enter a team, and make it a big deal to be the Zone Representative at the next stage of the FFA Cup.

I wanna call it an upset, simply because the Illawarra Premier League is ranked technically like 5th division, but it isn't but a lot of people underestimate the strength the Illawarra Premier League. GHFA Spirit, whilst playing in the NSW 2nd division, I daresay would always be weaker than Bulli, who traditionally are one of the strongest teams in the IPL.


Was always going to be tough for a South-Eastern suburbs based park football team to travel to the Central Coast mid-week and get a win. Applicable vice versa too.


Had a feeling this wasn't going to be as easy for Rockdale as it appeared. Didn't end up going to the game unfortunately. Finished work late, and by the time I got out was too buggered to go anywhere, grab a 6-pack of beer and go home.


I have a feeling Fraser Park will go places under Branko Culina. Wouldn't be surprised if he helps them to a Premiership win in the coming years if they can hold on to him.


Formerly Dapto Dandaloo. Home of a handful of ex-Sydney FC and A-League players. Looks like the got some trouble for their woes.

FNSW don't care much for regional football, the Griffith based clubs have been pushing for a way to include them since the inception of the FFA cup. It would be simple for each of the branches Western, Southern and Riverina to run their own cups and let the winners come in at Round 6 or something.

I always look forward to the next round with the NPL clubs. Four years into the QLD NPL and there's still debate about which competition is better (BPL or NPL). These competitive games help in comparing the two.

Fraser Park 0-1 BWE

One sided game really, credit to Fraser on keeping us at bay. Their goalkeeper was a gun, could easily be playing NPL 1 for a side like Manly/Parramatta.
Fraser had about 1-2 goal scoring opportunities, only bad thing is we are carrying a few injuries after last nights game.

Credit was Branko Culina getting sent off the last few minutes LOL.

A Wollongong derby! :d. Truth be told I don't think Kemblawarra (Dapto-Dandaloo) are as strong as they have been in recent years. A win would be huge for them, devastating for Wollongong.


Big chance for Wagga Wagga to go far in this competition. Travelling all the way out there on a weeknight isn't going to be easy for any team, let alone a park football team. Hurstville should see of Quakers Hill comfortable though.


I felt that this cups qualifying wasn't going to be as easy for us as last years. :lol: If we beat Picton, which after our 8-0 demolition job done upon us over the weekend won't be easy, can see us being knocked out by Hakoah. Mind you Granville gave them a bit of trouble, hopefully we can get through and give them a bit of trouble too. It feels like yesterday that Hakoah were in the same league as Balmain. They've had 2 promotions in 2 years IIRC. :.lol:


Should be relatively simple for United given their 4-0 demolition job of Sutherland the other night. However, Bankstown should hopefully give them a run for their money.


Northbridge (fuck this North Shore Mariners bullshit) should be OK over Normanhurst. Hopefully give Olympic a run for their money at Northbridge Oval. Might go along to that one if it eventuates.


Marconi haven't looked that strong in the NPL2 yet. Could potentially see a cupset on our hands.

bankstown wont be walkovers for united. they will be underdogs, but theyre top of npl 2, and have a good side.

Bankstown aren't top of NPL2 anymore. WSW and SFC both moved ahead of them last weekend.

Hakoah - Robbo, the football staff and the other staff have done a fantastic job in getting the club promoted from State League 2 to NPL1 in the space of 5-6 years.

Dulwich Hill - struggling defensively. They've conceded 7 goals in two games BUT (from what I've heard) are looking for a central defender. That may give them a chance against Marconi. I would love to see the club in the FFA Cup. Arlington is a beautiful ground.

I reckon Arlington is one of the best grounds in Sydney to watch football, get a good feed !

Whats Padstow like anybody ?
The Dunbar Bonny game will be an interesting one as well.
