Whats Padstow like anybody ? The Dunbar Bonny game will be an interesting one as well. I agree. I love it. The only problem is parking and the locals. The locals like to park outside on Friday nights to make it more difficult for people to park on the weekend AND the ground can only be used on one day of the weekend. The ground has been their for decades and they have the arrogance to complain if it gets used on a daily basis. Why move near a sports ground?

Travelling all the way out there on a weeknight isn't going to be easy for any team, let alone a park football team. Hurstville should see of Quakers Hill comfortable though. Wagga City have been made to play all their cup games on the weekend. 2 last year and 1 already this year. Last weekend they played their opening State League game on Saturday and then the Cup game on Sunday. 2 games in 2 days is ok if that's what the opposition have to do as well, but if the opposition only have the one game, it's a bit of a disadvantage. Hurstville City won both league games, home and away last season, 4-3 and 3-2.

Yep and no competition games during the week. The council can't make money during the week with 5-a-side competitions and I'd assume Dulwich Hill/Stanmore can't play FFA Cup games there. We'd probably have to hire Lambert or Fraser.

It did take the club 3-4 years to finally get artificial turf approved. Even with the government funding, they didn't approve it because of the residents. When it finally did get approved, the council had to fund it themselves because it was too late. This is why I'll never vote for the Greens.

Are there enough clubs in the ACT for a substantial increase? As it is there are NSW clubs who are competing through the ACT route.

Quote:Sutherland Sharks 0 Sydney United 4 Good win for United. Sutherland don't look very strong this year. Tipping it now, Sydney United to be in their third FFA Cup finals in a row. Edited by Heineken: 6/4/2016 11:31:18 PM Rams really got a late consolation goal. I was disappointed they had to play a NPL1 team. Would have loved an upset.

I wouldn't be opposed to clubs between the ACT and Goulburn, and out to the about 100-150km radius of the ACT playing in the ACT qualifying. I think there's a Queanbeyan and Goulburn team playing in the 2nd ACT division.

By the sounds of it, most teams outside of Sydney (aside from North-Northern Western - which full under Northern NSW Football) struggle to even submit teams to the qualifications of the FFA Cup. I understand teams from Broken Hill not being able to travel, but surely there needs to be a qualification system, probably done in mid-January, early February for these regional NSW teams. Base them off geographical regions: I.e Southern Highlands - all teams within Southern Highlands play off, and the winner progresses to say the first qualification round. I dunno if they all do this, but it seems the most regional teams are Wagga Wagga and Western NSW Mariners (NPL3) (ex-Bathurst)

And why are teams getting broad geographical locations as names. Really disappointing. I always thought a regional play off was always the best way about things. It includes more teams and doesnt force outback sides struggling to field a team to travel over 100kms to face a side they know are going to smash them. It's common sense.

I'm sure I've missed it somewhere in this thread, but do we know any more about the draw for Northern Territory yet?
