The Geelong and South game should be good. Wish it was broadcast.

Would be funny if Cooma qualified for the cup, because officially they're part of NSW. I wonder if Canberra teams would be shitty if their only qualification spot goes to a team outside their state/territory.

Not sure about that, South should wipe the floor with North Geelong. The other looks much more interesting to me, Port have flogged the two NPL2 sides they've faced but St. Albans have shown they can roll NPL opposition in Northcote and would be desperate to tee up a clash with Melb Knights in the next round

Think they made it to the final 4. Gungahlin are already out aren't they?

This bentleigh v south game will be similar to the ffa cup semi they played against Perth, will squeeze 3k in there. Now that we are through we need to go all out with a few transfers to challenge bentleigh, average once again tonight.

Is Bentleighs ground near Southland? Yeah, near in Suburban terms anyway. Wouldn't be walking there from Cheltenham station along Centre Dandenong Rd though. Here's a google maps link. I might head down for this one.

Is NNSW doing the same thing where they play 2 match days in a row for all teams at one location, with 70 minute matches?

It's happened the last 2 seasons. I just shake my head. What else can you do? 2 matches in 2 days and those games arent even the full 90. What a joke.

Just seems odd that it's for the senior team, AND for the official cup qualifiers. Wouldn't this comp be FIFA sanctioned? Wouldn't it need to abide by the full football code of practice?

It's actually been worse than that in the past - it's 3 games in 2 days, because they have a grand final between the two FFA Cup entrants.
