True. I'd even look at splitting and marketing the comps entirely and just play off for the Club World Cup spot. Might as well be separate comps if it's split until the final fixture. Won't happen though. I would also be wanting to keep the Central Asian Football Association so we can keep Iran and the 'Stans.

This. Surely lessons were learned after the success of last round of WCQs?

If we're going to keep the tournament split into east and west, I see no problem with doubling the group stage to 32 teams in each side and playing an extra round of knockouts.

The smaller MA deserve a chance to compete along with bringing in more clubs from the value bringing nations like China to drive the extra revenue and interest needed to cover that.

The AFC Cup doesnt promote better football IMO.

Definitely open to opening up qualification spots for more countries. Get in, Dordoi Bishkek.
