MELBOURNE City and Socceroos star Aaron Mooy is attracting interest from many places, with Saudi Arabian giants Al-Nassr showing keen interest.

Coached by Italian legend Fabio Cannavaro, Al-Nassr have been closely watch the exploits of Mooy this season, with the 25-year-old on fire to start the A-League season.

“I’ve got a bit of a scoop for you on Aaron Mooy,” said pundit Robbie Slater during Fox Sports’ pre-game coverage of Central Coast Mariners v Melbourne City. “There are strong rumours, and my sources are telling me that Al-Nassr, coached by Fabio Cannavaro, are extremely interested in him.”

Mooy masterclass downs Perth2:08
Mooy was at his incredible best in the win over Perth in Round 8, involved in four of City’s five goals and providing eight shot assists.

But he wasn’t needed as Melbourne City doubled their lead against Central Coast with one of the team goals of the year. You can watch that goal, finished off by Bruno Fornaroli, in the video at the top of the page.

Good. That'll drive up his price... I don't think he'll go to the Middle East... He's just had or is just about to have a baby... No way is he going to Saudi

The money doesn't go to Melb city anyway, doesn't benefit Aus or the league at all if he goes there.

The HAL is in a bad way...

Going to Saudi would be a disaster for Mooy.

Football wise it is a waste and it is the most restrictive county in the world for personal freedom.

He is playing the type of football that will land him a decent club in Europe. Going to Saudi for money will ruin his career and he will be back in the a league after only a few seasons cause no one would want to live in Saudi for very long.

isn't he on decent money here as a marquee? obviously the money would be a lot better in the Petroleague's but go to Europe or stay in Australia, nowhere else.

So?

There's ample leagues and teams better than that club.
