Who would be responsible for removing Gallop by the way? He's the CEO, so he answers to the board and Lowy. Realistically, would they have a reason to replace him?
We don't know what his KPIs or goals are, and it's possible a stable league and growing the profile of the National side are about all that's expected. I'd think the only reason he go is if he were failing to meet targets - not because of people on forums and facebook.

With the money that Andy D brought into the AFL and the exposure he got for them then soccer should seriously look at him. I honestly think he would be a great get

De Bohun > Gallop
Gallop > Demetriou
?
Gallop to go back to managing a national league and Demetriou to manage things at a higher level?
Not sure how i'd feel about this though. He was an utter *unt his entire tenure at the AFL. Moreso than any other sports administrator for any sport in the past 40 years. Remember he was single handedly blocking our stadiums choices for our world cup bid, just to try and screw us over for his own code's personal gain.
Someone with such an extreme Pro-Victorian bias may not be the best option of r national role either. In AFL he could get away with his Melbourne centric crap - but not in football!

Provided that he fights and works for the FFA as much as he did at the top of AFL, I wouldn't object..

He was on like $3.8 million a year at the AFL. That alone should make it a non-starter.

Don't forget he was lobbying the governments to block World Cup bids because it is played during AFL season.

I did see him at a Victory game once. Probably sussing out the competition.
Funny thing is that he was in line to buy food, and the guy in front of him couldn't find his wallet and was holding up the line. Demetriou just stood there shaking his head. I just laughed, wondering if he'd pay for the guy's food so he could get out of there. :D

'Footy' is his game, he'd do anything for it, no passion for football - nothing to gain from it's success other than hurting his own game. Professional or not, I can't imagine his heart would be in it.

Best chance to win a game at the World Cup is if he can source some more gear off Dank

Fosatti would have more passion for coaching the Roos than Demitriou would have for the FFA
