If you ever want to sell that game let me know.

That was before they forced you to go online and start a second life. Instead of just playing a dame game

Sad, not one mention of Pokemon. Also Dragonball Z Budokai and PES 6.

can't find a legal copy anyware abandonware or otherwise
thought warcraft 3 was excellent but number 2 probably just pips it due to having more interesting strategy

I remember the human level where you are facing 3 orc enemy bases and if you don't rush and take at least one you can't win

I also liked the strategy of building farms in front of towers so the farms would take the hits while the towers took them out

I also liked the custom games which tended to be significantly harder. I couldn't get past fighting 3 enemies at the same time on custom if everyone started on the same landmass with one peon

I still remember the first time I went over to my friends place when he had just got Goldeneye. Wow. After that it was my life's goal to save up and buy a N64. Nothing else mattered.

Later sold my N64 and the games for around $150. I regret that decision.

When I got my PlayStation 2, I came home from school one day to find my N64 had been given away to the fucking local Vinnies, without my permission. Hated poor people stores ever since, and my grandmother.

I've got the game and the expansion pack, both with the original boxes in mint condition. Ditto with Warcraft 1 as well.

Gonna hang on to them for sure. Classic CD-ROM games like these might end up being worth a fair bit in 20 years time.

The early wire-frame versions of 'Elite' - designed for players willing to stick around, took so long to progress from one level to the next.

Matchday 2 on the 64, football in slow motion, seemed so good at the time.

And the previously mentioned International Karate.

Some of the racing games I played on PS1 remain some of the best racing games I ever played - Gran Turismo, F1 97, TOCA touring cars, Destruction Derby and Colin McRae rally, to name a few. The first Metal Gear Solid game was also brilliant, became a huge fanboy of the series after that.

Goldeneye on N64 is one of the all time great video games, played it just the other week. Near endless replay value.

So, my life was completed late last week, if some of you haven't heard of this you're going to love me.

I picked up a Rasberry Pi 3 (https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-3-model-b/), basically a mini computer, so many things you can do with it. Anyway the main reason I wanted one of these is because you can turn it into an all in one old school gaming console, by installing RetroPie.

I purchased this pack from eBay

Comes with two USB SNES controllers, Micro SD card, all the cables, a case for the Pi, etc. it is loaded with RetroPie, which is the gaming console project. All you need to do is download the roms (the games), find some info online on how to load them on there and away you go. Instructions on how to set it up can be found with a quick google search as well.

I've literally got about 10,000 games loaded, SNES, N64, PS1, Sega Genesis, Nintendo, Gameboy Colour, etc. There's a bloke on Facebook selling this with all the games pre-loaded but it's about $70 more.

Didn't take me too long to figure out how to set it up myself and I'm good with computers but no expert.

Was smashing SNES games late Friday night, brought back my childhood!

Absolutely loved F1 97 and TOCA.
I think as far back as 2008, I still went on '97 every pre season, and updated all the drivers names. Tyrrell would be Honda, Jordan would be Force India, etc. Such a fun game.

Think that was '98. 99% of the time if you hit a car side-on after they spun, either you or them received a black/white diagonal flag for dangerous driving  Just played it again the other day, used the "Billy Bonus" cheat and did a few laps of the mirrored Adelaide circuit. Brilliant.

I don't remember the cars snapping in half. I didn't play '98 much because my older brother somehow damaged the disc. I remember '99 though because it had the safety car, that was about the only good thing about it. And the new track they brought in at Malaysia that year.

I loved those cheats though! Adelaide, and the old timey one was the best

There are actually 200 levels. The same as the first hundred but the maze is blacked out so you either have to remember it or feel your way around.

Love that game, as soon as I saw the gif the game's music got in my head :)

Edit: Actually that may only be in the console versions ( I never got that far in the arcade but I did on my master system )
