Meanwhile, Western Sydney Wanderers are tracking Croatian-based defender Tomislav Mrcela to bolster their backline for next season. Club sources confirmed they're in talks with the 25-year-old centre-back who is eager to return to Australia for the first time since leaving for Croatia in 2001 where he has played all his football. A move to the A-League is seen as a way to help the Lokomotiva Zagreb player break through into international football having twice been selected for the Socceroos but yet to make his international debut.

Would like to think that we would make a play for him too. With no Visa spots left and the departure of Siggy and Manny, we have a huge hole in defense. Would be near guaranteed first team football and everything

Would be a good replacement for Alberto while at the same time leaving a visa spot open for another position. We were linked with him before this season I think as well.

Hope someone signs him so we can actually see if he;s any good or not. As far as aussie cb's in the HAL go, he'd have to be able to get a start somewhere.

More to do with A-League wages being secure than it is to with Ange being coach.

bit of both and the continued improvement of the league standard. Different players will have different underlying reasons why they would consider moving back but it all helps the standard of the league increase so whatever the reason it's good by me.
