When theres a anti islam and anti immigrants stance coming out from both sets of politics and around the world, up comes the far right to save us all. She will win a seat because peoples phobias and insecurities come to the fore.

She may not be too bright but she provides a voice for the Nationalists, those sick of islamization and the ideals of the LEft.

I'll be honest i'm cautious of Islam and it's well documented problems throughout Europe that i've seen first hand but they account for like half of one percent in most of the country so what's the worry?

As have I and i would like to see a cautious approach until they have their shit in order.

I have an issue with people simply brushing aside well documented and almost consistent issues when it comes to integration in fear of being label "Islamaphobic" or "racist".

We on the whole (stereotyping I know) seem to be afraid to confront compatibility issues in fear of Cronulla Riots MKII when in reality we do not understand Islam and how we marginalise them/offend them because their strong beliefs are often in direct conflict with our sarcastic/satirical western approach.

In all honesty I know a few of them and the only major discrepancy we've ever had was over the Charlie Hedbo shootings. The three mates I was around when it happened seemed to not care. Their response was something along the lines of "how would you feel if the thing you hold most sacred was mocked". One of them said it was as offensive as calling your mum a whore on national tv.

The last bit is the crux of it. To openly continue to mock something they hold dear , even when some of them ask us not to do it makes us all look like jackasses.some can take it and just chill ie my wife and her family, some get quiet upset as its their beliefs .

Of course but that's how we westerners are. We mock anything. I doesn't matter if it's sacred. We mock Christianity openly and only a few fanatics cry foul.

That's one of the major issues I've seen. The satirical nature of our media/entertainment riles them up way more than it should.

Making things taboo achieves nothing. Making things above reproach gives people power they don't deserve.

I strongly reject the sentiment that anything is off limits for satire (within reason of course, you don't make rape jokes, it's bad taste). People seem to expect their religious beliefs to be revered without question. It's not a muslim things, they just seem to be the most obvious example these days.

It does annoy me (this is not restricted to Muslims even remotely) when people say we have no culture or way of life.

We have Chinese clients at work who flat out refuse to meet our accounting requirements to provide trade references. It offends them to prove they pay their bills. Like I give a f*ck. They're also more often than not bad at paying invoices and have to be chased for money.

I guess I'm not anti-muslim but anti-ignoring customs and I do not respect religious beliefs unconditionally.
