21 years old and only started 2 games in the J-League last season. Clearly not the type of signing to get anyone excited. I want a world class winger more then anything to be honest. That's if I had to choose one area to strengthen in.

The Guardian reporting that Arsenal are making a bid for Lacazette.
For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

Terrible experience 51 minutes? I had exactly zero drama. In & out within 10 minutes. I found it one of the cruisiest ticket purchasing experiences I've had.

Apparently about to sign Rob Holding from Bolton for 2m. 20 year old CB, might mean Chambers can go out on loan which wouldn't be a bad thing.

Official announcement of Rob Holding's signing Quote: Arsenal agree deal to sign Rob Holding We have agreed to sign young defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanderers on a long-term contract. The 20-year-old enjoyed a promising first senior campaign in 2015/16, making 30 appearances for Bolton and winning the club's player of the season award. This summer, Rob helped England Under-21s to victory in the Toulon tournament in France alongside Calum Chambers. Rob is a versatile player, comfortable at both centre back and full back, and we look forward to him joining up with the squad. His transfer is subject to the completion of regulatory processes. We remain in the market, so stay close to Arsenal.com for any further transfer news. http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20160722/arsenal-agree-deal-to-sign-rob-holding Highly rated by Bolton fans and won their player of the season. That last line is interesting, don't remember ever seeing that before in an announcement.

So 1-1 with Lens overnight with Ox getting the equaliser after coming on at HT.
Starting XI was Martinez; Debuchy, Mertesacker, Chambers, Monreal; Coquelin, Elneny; Reine-Adelaide, Iwobi, Walcott; Akpom.
Halftime substitutions were Martinez, Elneny, Reine-Adelaide, Debuchy, Monreal and Akpom off with Macey, Ox, Bielik, Gnabry, Gibbs and Campbell coming on.
Walcott and Iwobi came off after about 80 mins for Willock and Zelalem.
Chambers, Coquelin and Mertesacker played the full 90.
Next Friendly is against the MLS All Stars 9:30am AET Friday the 29th.

Eurosport France reporting that Mahrez has chosen Arsenal and agreed terms with the club with a fee with Leicester still to be negotiated, although they say that shouldn't be too difficult with Leicester not planning to stop any player who wants to leave from leaving.
Don't put much faith in the story atm, but would be a great move if we pulled it of.

Honestly if we signed Mahrez I'd be more than happy to sign a striker like Mario Gomez for this season

Is it weird that I'm as hyped about Xhaka as I was about Ozil?
Really think we're going to play good football again.

I think you have always played some good football - sure the forms drops here and there just as most but its scoring from the good football that counts...... I'll be shell shocked the talk of spending is to finally gain a consistent scoring striker, we all wait in baited breath.

It's a player we've needed for like 10 fucking years, so understandable to be excited.

 so Per now looking like he'll miss a fair chunk of time with a knee injury. So we're looking at something like this for the Liverpool game ---Cech---
--Bellerin---Chambers---Gabriel---Monreal--
---Xhaka--Cazorla---
--Ox---Wilshere---Iwobi--
---Walcott--- God help us
