Have you forgotten your meds this morning Scottyboy?

Chill out and have a souva.
Must say, the souva was much improved at Hume this year.

Still no Bentleigh Greens souva, but improved.

Don't let the Turks (or the Greeks) hear you call Hume's Lamb Sandwich a Souva.
I'm so sorry. Lamb Kebab.

The lamb kebab had nothing on the lamb souva at Bentleigh.

Bentleigh let me down when i went there for a Victory friendly a few years ago. After all the hype and a general expectation that a Cypriot club wouldn't fuck around with it's kitchen, they served me a "Souva" in a Coles hot dog roll in some sort of savage hybrid.

I remember having one at Hume when Victory played a friendly there before the start of last season. They weren't the best and you needed at least 2 to fill you up.

Yep, absolultely love it.

And having HD streams with commenatry of some sort and basic replays is awesome (the Blacktown game had extra cams for the goalkeepers etc).

apart from the Wanderers obviously i never really had a team to support if Hawkesbury City or Lowland Wanderers make it into the FFA cup round of 32 then i will have someone to support

i knew very little about grassroots football before the FFA cup now i am trying to find my local non wanderers(well maybe Lowland) club to support i wonder how many people decide to find a local club to support because of the FFA cup like i am trying to do

You would never see that many at a Fury game believe me.

Oh I don't see a decrease. In fact, Gold Coast's crowd last year was only 260 more than Cairns last night, in a city 1/4 the size, and playing a virtually unknown opponent.

Yeah I don't really think that a measurement of increase/decrease can be done when there are so many massive variables like club stature and population size.

If anything, the most indicative results come from the two venues that hosted matches at the same stage last season, and they're both up. Insignificantly in Blacktown's case, but in Hume City's case, the crowd rose by 7%. That is a large figure.

Are those crowd figures just ticket sales?

there looked like there was more at blacktown, easy over 1000, perhaps they dont count the under 12 kids etc

Not a Phase, Not a Trend, SYDNEY UNITED till the END!

Excuse me?

The only two directly comparable results show an increase. It's hard to compare and deduce a reduction between a city of 600k that has had a team in the past and a city of 100k that hasn't had a team.

If anything this is very encouraging growth.

Good work, FFA.

Haha , my comment was only based on Heine's "down overall" statement. Don't take it as some kind of end of ethnic football line...

I love the cup and I'm sure numbers will improve through the course of the year and years to come. It's just too early to tell.
