It depends how you look at it. Some say C7's highlighting the EPL is just to diminish the relevance of soccer in Australia.

Showing poor standard games between clubs of mono ethnic origins in empty tin pot stadiums may be for the same reason.

Perhaps, but I'll take it. It still validates the sport for those who have no idea it exists.

Growing up in Victoria, and rarely ever leaving this state, you'd assume the AFL is our national sport based purely on the media saturation it receives. It wasn't until I was older did I realise it doesn't really exist north of the Murray.

So to me, any coverage is a win. And especially if it's showing 2 semi-pro teams. \:d/

I think it's more to the fact that Mel McLaughlin is their sports reporter, seems she has some input.

Sure, but this is against an A-League side, and with limited capacity. They could have done an ICC and price gouged, I'm sure the temptation is there with the tight finances of an NPL franchise in mind.

The food will be the clincher, of course.

Being the traditional home of the Vargas brothers however I don't think I can ever be too critical of GG.

I'm just shit stirring. $15 is a bit more than I've seen for most cup games but at the same time it's more than fair when it's a clubs major payday for potentially several years. It's still good value for money for fans anyway..

Edgeworth last year had to relocate their home game vs Melbourne City to Broadmeadow Magics field because Edgy's field didn't meet standards either. It's a shame, but it is what it is.

Probably better to relocate than not take part at all.

Maybe the long term effects of the Cup will see clubs receive upgrades and funding.

We will never receive any funding, you can quote me on that.

& no other grounds within close proximity to move it too, if we drew an a-league team we had an agreement with Campbelltown Stadium with what we have been told.

Pretty sad, we want to compete but the pigs from the FFA simply dont want a bar of our reality, but hey were wogs and have cevape on the menu.

That's a shame.

I know Broadmeadow Magic put a lot of time, effort & $$ into making their ground up to standard. I have no idea if they were helped out financially or not.
