Wow, this new layout is truly atrocious. I'm not against change, but these updates simply make it exponentially harder to read the site. So much unnecessary spacing. The Aussies Abroads forum has doubled in size overnight, that's how many fewer replies per page there now are.
Do I want to visit page 2.4k or page 2.4k?
Some serious lack of testing and feedback before implementing such a major change. A hopeless UX.
Sure the previous layout was old, but it was clean and simple.
I hope KA has an undo button.

The one big problem i see is that there isn't an option to jump to a certain page on a thread on either mobile or desktop. It's a problem on big threads like the Aussies Abroad thread especially on mobile where you only get 5 posts per page and it's harder to edit the url.
I do really like the ability to expand and contract reply chains, going to make derailing threads, like some users try to do, a lot harder

Also, go into your profile settings and you can change the default posts per page. I've got mine at 50 posts per page.

Usability is pretty good on desktop, but as others have said its too white. I like the collapsible quotes, but imo would be far better if id still displayed the first line or two of the quote still.
Mobile version is a bit tougher to navigate at the moment.

Is there a way to include the last page of a thread on the mobile version?
Eg, if a thread is 5 pages long, in the mobile version I can only go to the first page via the main forum screen, and then I need to click on the last page once I'm in there.

Hi guys,
We just did the biggest launch in the company's history, creating about 14 different new websites which all now hook their sports into the new forum software too for the first time.
The launch is still an ongoing process as we tweak settings across the whole network, many of which can't be anticipated until we have traffic and users in place.
That process is underway and things will be updated as we go along over the next few days.
Please continue to leave your feedback though so we can address any issues as they're identified.
Thanks for your patience - and hopefully by the time we're finished, this will be an even better community than it ever was before, and with an influx of fresh faces too to supplement you regulars and old-timers!

On the desktop version I can quote and reply to people, but on the mobile version, after clicking the little quote plus sign, and then I go to reply, it just says 'null' instead of the quote.

I have been leaving some feedback in the other thread on the Australian Football page.
Other things I would like to see are "image" and "youtube" IF code appear when you have the arrow over the "+insert" so I/we dont have to scroll down or type it.
Also if possible, the abillity to collapse or expand the pinned threads (to elminate the need to scroll down on the mobile) and of course and Expansion Pro/Rel subforum.
Can I choose a setting to make the entire webpage smaller?
ATM I am viewing it at 75% zoom to make things more comfortable.

Feedback on some stuff.
I prefer the home page saying "Forum" rather than Debate, if I was a new user I'm not sure I would click on Debate expecting a forum.
Not a fan of the collapsed quotes.
I like having an open quick reply box at the bottom, rather than having to click post reply.
Need an active tops section, where you can see the latest replies.
Welcomed additions are a return of comments being linked to articles on the homepage. The Search fuctions working. Profile and settings pages, chat boxes etc.
Looking forward to seeing how this "insidesport" thing goes too.
When you submit a post the background of your message turns blue for about 5 seconds, any chance you could make the permanent so it's easier to find your own posts?

Absolutely minor issue I've come across guys - When browsing the comments below articles, the "load more comments" button can be continually clicked after there are no new comments to load, and it'll just load the same ones over and over again. I don't think anything is happening server side to provide the data there when it's clicked, but just in case it is, probably worth stopping that before someone DDOS's the site.

Keep the feedback coming guys.
From what I can see, a few of the issues many of us have brought up have been fixed so far:
- most recent quote is open, rest are hidden to avoid pyramids.
- line between post & signature.
- I think there's a dark line between different posts now? Something is different, feels seperated more (in a good way).
- Moderators are labelled.

I think the most recent quote being opened and the rest being hidden is excellent to avoid pyramids. This is better than the old 442.

On the mobile when I click on a post link (latest post) from the main page it comes up error. You have to go into the category page then do it from there.

Picture isn't working, not sure what I'm doing wrong :lol: Go to Feedback, or Extra time, or whatever sub index your thread is in. To the right of the thread title is there a "Edit Title" button? It comes up when I hover the mouse over it - not sure if works on mobiles? And not sure if I can do it because I'm a mod, and whether you can edit your own.

It seems a pain but I'm used to it. If there is a thread title you really want changed, just PM me or any mod and we'll change it for you. In saying that, this issue has been brought up with the Dev guys and I'm not sure of the status of it currently. Cheers.

One big bonus for cricket fans, is that we now have our own Cricket section in the new layout.
A few if us were never happy that a few mods thought we should no have no more than one cricket thread in Extra Time.
We now have this option in the Cricket section.

So overall I am liking the new forum layout. I do have one issue that has arisen since the change. I can no longer access the forum at work with the shift to insidesport.com.au/ which is blocked :(. The same actually goes for parts of the website too which is a shame. At least the home page and "latest News" still uses the old address http://www.fourfourtwo.com/au/news

This is why the Internet fucking hates change. I actually liked the old layout. This just looks like the graphic designer tried too hard to make the place look "post-modern" and minimalistic or something, but instead it just looks cold, generic and lifeless.

So yeah, noticed this in the last week or so, and I'm seeing other users are having difficulty with them, especially using Chrome. Embedded Youtube links are just coming up as black squares, and aren't loading. Don't even have the option to click on the video and open up a YouTube browser tab. Any chance we could get the YouTube tags back. Those seemed to work last time.
