I think that is a good idea but there are som many different ways to choose. 

You could do r32 all ten to have seeding then a free draw rest of the tournament. 

Most year I would imagine all the teams wiped out by after the r16 if you just have the David v Goliath seedings. 

Personally I think it should be open and teams from the lowest divison get the home game eg Surfers should have been at home against Canberra.

True. Really all the current draw does is deny more NPL teams what they really want: the chance to knock off a HAL team.

Don't think it particularly needs seeding, open draw means an A-League club has over 70% chance of drawing an NPL club which is good enough chance without forcing things.

We still haven't seen what a big rivalry or derby in the cup will look like yet, would like to see how that goes before moving from a rigged draw to a seeded one.

It also denies them getting nice draws that could see them make the final without facing an A-League team.

The weakness of the salary cap in the a-league is a club like adelaide can lose so many players who don't look like shadow of the team from last season and throw in the last minute goalkeeping howler from Galekovic and the poor defending for the second goal a nightmare evening for the Reds.

Replacing Mauk, Djite, Sanchez and Goodwin with Makarounas, Garuccio, Kitto and playing a 17 year old as a false 9 doesnt look if your a fan of the club.

So many outs for the Reds, Amor needs to find some quality players from Spain to fill the void from Djite and Mauk especially.

its simple FFA..... whatever you do, deregulate the contrived draw.... throw all teams in from the RO32 and whoever you get you get... if an A League club comes up against NPL I still think it should be hosted by the NPL team however beyond that no more scripted draw... Please use some sense for once

2nd story in ABC Radio's sports bulletin this morning, before the AFL. Lead with details of Adelaide's shock loss and results of the other matches.

I can't see anything wrong with the open draw. NPL clubs towards the end of their season and HAL clubs in their preseason, there will be upsets. Open draw will make it all the more genuine too.

Would love to see the round of 64 be promoted and televised too, even if it's just NPL and lower league clubs.

We made the quarter final under Kossie between then and now too. Lost in extra time away to Bunyodkur. We were winning 2-0 in the first home leg and drew it 2-2 which cost us. People always forget this one.

By the way, Babalj did his ACL and will be out until January. Not to mention the plantar fasciitis he already had. He's farked.
