North Geelong have a decent shot at getting back into NPL.
In fact, the city's other teams are doing quite well. Geelong SC (SL2) and Geelong Rangers (SL3) are looking to be promoted too. Good to see them have some success overall. Lots of potential in Geelong.

South smashed Hume 3-0 tonight, combination of great keeping and poor finishing saved the score line from being a complete blow out, could easily have ended up 6-7 zip.
Heidelberg v south semi final next Saturday night at the village, should be a massive crowd, we will go in heavy underdogs but having strung 4 wins on the bounce we are looking much better lately. Will be a tough ask to stop Archie.

It would have been a lot more, they must have let 1,500 in without scanning, terrible organisation by the ffv to not open the other grandstand until half time.

The lines outside the ground at kick off were staggering, they would have had no choice but to throw the gates open, pictures dont do it justice up the back of the grandstand you couldnt even walk through people were standing 3 deep all the way across, how it took until half time for common sense to prevail is baffling, i got there an hour before the start and the grandstand was already 60% full. The decision should have been made to open the other end from that moment.
Anyway the ffv lost some serious $$$ here, i dont even think they had every ticket booth open. Was a great game but the federation buthchered this one.

One entry into the ground. One road leading into the stadium. No parking was an absolute nightmare

+xSouth melbourne to start the npl season with what much a be a record 7 away games in a row, what a farce lol. And then people take npl crowd figures seriously. reason for seven straight away matches in a row is due to the fact Albert Park precinct will be blocked off for a period before & after the Australian F1 Grand Prix in late March is part of the reason why that they have no access to having home fixtures at Lakeside Stadium from early February to early April.
