I hope Perth get a decent crowd. The city definitely has potential, so I'm hoping the fans will be out in numbers.

If Bentleigh Greens win, they'll overtake Hume City as having the best record in the FFA cup of the non-A-League teams. http://www.aleaguestats.com/ALeagueStats_34FFACupStats.html#ResultsTeam

Those stats are cool. It also says that VIC teams have been the most successful in the Cup. I like.

+xany idea if Lily Homes Stadium lighting standard is good enough to host A-League teams and there is a real possibility they could have hosting an A-League team in the FFA Cup quarter finals. No problem, holds PL and countless other night games. Its a top venue http://www.lilysfootballcentre.com.au/

Don't like. But can't blame them, there is no rule stopping it. I think they are over estimating the numbers. Also, they have a 2 out of 5 chance not 4 out of 7 as there will be an all A-League 1/4 final.
I imagine Devonport will do something similar if the chance comes.

Devonport have no option but to move if they host an a-league team. Aurora Stadium in Launceston is the only ground in all of northern tassie with sufficient Lux.

Shouldn't be allowed, especially if Hume were told they must play at ABD Stadium. I'm sure the FFA will be all to tempted to yet again break a recently changed rule though.

I thought Hume made the call to play at home themselves after the kerfuffle last season? Either way, Canberra is a very different market to Melbourne. If any HAL side plays Canberra next round that will be the premier club game held there this year, so the need to keep it 'authentic' to attract the punters won't be necessary. Given Olympic have already been close to the 1500 capacity playing other NPL sides, I think letting them move to a bigger venue for the 5k+ they'll likely receive for a HAL team is only reasonable.

The difference is ABD Stadium CAN host A-League clubs, Deakin Stadium CAN'T. So Canberra Olympic must move their game somewhere if they draw an A-league club, whether that is Viking Park or Canberra Stadium neither are their actual home ground.

Fairly certain that FFA cracked the shits after the Etihad bid last season and told them what's happening next time. Even for Fox, I think they'd rather just make the local grounds work for them. There is no broadcast appeal from having local clubs play out of empty professional stadiums.

It is game day. And I am pumped.
Hopefully they'll cross over to the Perth V Sydney match afterwards instead of just talking shit in the studio. Sometimes they do it, and sometimes they don't. But considering we need to wait for the draw afterwards anyway, you think they'd show the other match.
