I wasnt at the match, but i heard we were the better side and didnt deserve to lose, in actual fact we missed two sitters once we were infront 2-1

I have no issue with the drive but to go there and get robbed, we might as well forfeit and save ourselves the drive. They play 2/3's of their games at home and the referees always rob the away teams. 

Disappointing result. We really should've sealed it with at least one of the chances we had at 2-1. First Vekic recovered exceptionally to deny Payne from what was basically an open goal and then Shin had another one cleared off the line with the whole goal to aim for. Vekic pulled off a couple of fantastic saves too. 

I heard it was a coaching Master Piece that caused SU's downfall. When the roundabout was shifted from the holding midfield position the chances dried up, and DeKunya brought some speed to the defensive line. The next Master Stroke would be to put the statue down the backyard with the garden gnomes and concrete it in. Then and only then will we see Blacktown at their best.I won't hold my breath till that happens.

I'm not going to say it'll happen, but it honestly wouldn't surprise me in the least if it did. I'm just happy that we got promoted in the first season. It was always going to be a fight between us and Western Suburbs. 

It will be interesting to see how we go next season. We saw Melbourne Victory struggle big time this year in the Victorian NPL, and they've been relegated back to the NPL2. 

It looks like Branko & Jason Culina couldn't turn around Fraser Park's fortunes.

That's what happens when you invest crazy money into first grade and neglect the other age groups. Fraser had 8 points in the 20's in 26 games. Pathetic. 

Forgot to mention the two disallowed goals. Hard to tell from where we were, but the second one was surprising. Looked like Payne came from behind the defender. Will be interesting to see if they show both on the highlights.

Asked a board member why cant FNSW organize a bus and reserve tickets, supporters come in from back entrance and leave after FT. Same goes for both grounds.

our 18's have to kick off at 8:30am and the 20's kick off at 11:00am only for the 1st grade to start at 3. I guess they don't want anyone hanging around to watch first grade, pretty stupid.

The 20s game involves BWE so there's no doubt that they dont want anyone hanging around after that one. Probably keen to give themselves enough time to clear everyone out and prepare for 1st grade.

I was at the game and United were the more attacking team and deserved the win but football isn't about who deserves it. Blacktown were patiently absorbing the attack and were clinical in their finishes.What I have noticed is that United are either carrying injuries or simply not fit enough. They really dropped off towards end of game. This has happened regularly since their pounding in FFA cup. I thought Tratt played his backside off in the back with Uskok as well & the young kid Vlismas held his own taking on Danny Choi.
As for disallowed goals, where I was sitting they were clearly ONSIDE. Like I said before Payne is not A league material and he showed why. Another opportunity he completely muffed was when he had GK in no mans land off the line and he was halfway. all he had to do was control the ball, move away from defender and shoot! I have not seen one goal where he actually takes on defenders. also the muffed opportunity inisde 6 yard box kicking the ball straight into the middle of the goal to a sliding GK? Trifiro played well and was unlucky but IMO he plays to deep. 

Good luck to both teams this week, i unfortunately will miss it!! At least the SW will be represented in the GF

NPL Suppporter

Payne is a poacher and a hardworking one at that. He had an off day but still managed to score 2 (if you count the disallowed goal). But he definitely should've buried the one from the 6 yard box - that would've made it 3-1 and hopefully game over. 

Tricky was my MOM. The problem with him playing too deep is that you can't really push him any further forward as he's then occupying the space that Nikas usually sits in. Him and Stav were fantastic in the middle. 

Agree he's a poacher. Not my type of player but he does work hard I'll give him that. His ball control is what drives me nuts and lways looks for the pass rahter than chance himself against defenders.  I've seen a fair few games this season. Tricky and Nikas up higher would run riot against opposing defenders. Nikas also had an off game but i rate him highly. I'm not Cro/Maco/Serb/Italian or Greek so i like watching good football.

Blacktown were very lucky to get this one. Another question. Did you notice the conditioning of the Ref? How unfit did he look and struggling to keep up with play. I think he started blowing his whistle to have a break. 

Anyway heres to a great game between Bonno and United that will not be witnessed by fans like me due to all the crap one has to go through to buy a ticket!

Struggled to break down BWE? Did you watch the game? We shouldve scored about 6 in ET - bar, post, 3 fantastic saves from the young keeper and an avalanche of other spurned chances.

You seem to be implying that United were dirty. James went down under his own weight after going up for a cross. There was a United player who got tripped and may have rolled into him but hard to tell from the other end. The head clash was simply two blokes competing for a header.

Dirtiest challenge of the game came from Zonjic when he cleaned up Shin late.

Anyway, back to the football. The old game of two halves. First half we shouldve scored a couple and had a clear pen waved away. We pegged Bonnyrigg back for the opening 15 or so and really shouldve done more with the domination.

Second half started well enough for us but BWE came over the top of us and earned the equaliser. You could sense it was coming and once the equaliser came a second almost seemed a sure thing. 

... but then Payne stepped up. 

ET was all United with BWE down to 9.5 players. Lost count of the amount of chances we missed. The two saves the keeper pulled off first from Nikas then Payne were world class. Tricky finally put one away to get a deserved win. 

Thought Rudes made it much tougher on us and almost cost us the game with some of his decisions. Firstly, Bilic shouldve come straight on for Mileski after his injury. Instead he went with Taneski who he had to take off 30 mins later for Bilic. 
Secondly, a blind man couldve seen that BWE were coming home strong and that Stav wasnt having his best game in that second half (his misjudged header lead to the equaliser). Triantis shouldve come on much earlier.

Stav is a huge loss for the GF. Mileski looks doubtful too depending on the extent of the hammy. Youd assume Triantis will come in for Stav and Bilic will replace Mileski if required. No need to change much else.

BWE were diabolical in the first half, i dont know how were were not up 2 or 3.

We went through a wave of emotions yesterday, being down 2-1 with 3 min to go, it was all but over, and then Chris Payne with pretty much the last kick of the game... When BWE went to 10 men it was only a matter of time, and thankfully tricky slotted it home.

Young Kardic seems to be like a exciting player. 

The two best teams in the competition by a country mile is in the GF, and both deserve to be there, BWE didnt deserve to be in the final series let alone the GF, when they were more than 20 points off the pace this year.

Yeah that Kadric kid is a gun. He was up front by himself in ET and still managed to cause a few headaches. Very, very quick. 

Interesting to hear that his auntie is our physio :laugh:  must have been some interesting discussions between them before and after the match

well he is on the radar of a lot of clubs already, i'd be surprised if he stays there next season lol 

He would've been in the U20s squad, I doubt that there are too many players in U20s squads getting match payments. No doubt Bonnyrigg will change that for the upcoming season.
