Derby Semi Final :o

So that'll be another Derby on the 18th or 26th of October, with the one in the league on the 15th of October.

Good stuff, Melb Derby semi should be great. Tipping an all sky-blue City-Sydney final (as I'd rather Victory didn't win it twice in a row!)

Melbourne hosted it last year and, I know Perth are hardly big draws, but got 15k to it. 

Surely either a Cahill vs Sydney FC or a Victory/Sydney FC gets hosted in Sydney this time. They'll probably do it at ANZ though to really "cash in"

Canberra Olympic vs Sydney FC will be played at Canberra stadium.

Big call, would've preferred to see them pack out viking park (circa 5k), than whatever they'll get at Canberra stadium. In saying that, it could be something the canberra football community gets behind, so we could see close to 10k.

The game tonight got over 2k, with absolutely 0 advertising and people having no idea it was on, so for an FFA cup semi against a-league opposition, we'll see what happens.

Oh and btw, magic of the farken cup!!

Speedway on at Etihad on the 22nd of October, but last time they left the football field area pretty much untouched except the very corners which were relaid. Victory v Nix is on the 31st after that anyway though so no reason why they can't be ready and have the seats in for the semi on the 26th.

Only event listed in November is Victory v WSW on the 12th, so it should be ready and willing to host a final on the 29th.

AAMI Park also free on both dates, but with a pretty hefty schedule of Victory and City games either side of both the dates.

SFS seems to have not much on at all in November and looks free for the final too.

Egg on face if so.

Apparently the semis can be on the 19th and 25th as well as the 18th and 26th; Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Doesn't change much in the way of availability, however.

Yeah he stopped and had a chat. It's a topic he is very passionate about. I'm happy he is in the media tbh despite MT's dislike for him I've never had a problem with his opinions.

So yeah just got home and summing up all my thoughts to what's been said here tongiht.

1. Bentleigh Souvas are the best ethnik feed there is. Half Chicken, Half Lamb, Utterly Delicious.

2. Kingston Heath was utterly packed and it was awesome. I know for a fact they went over legal capacity but they still managed to cram everyone in and it was great to just be able to have a good social night on a hill.

3. Whoever decided that Canberra Stadium is a good idea for a Semi needs a good belting. Utterly inappropriate.

4. Cup Derby should definitely not be at Etihad. Can't see it getting more than  AAMI Park capacity less than 2 weeks after the league game, even with decent pricing.  That said, I do hope we get enough that we don't have to give City anymore tickets than the absolute minimum allocation.
 
5. In terms of who hosts the final, surely by now we can just have a damn draw to figure that out. 


Highlight of my night was having quick chat to Ange before the game, very happy to have a yarn about coaching and football in general despite him clearly being on the job! 

Wouldve preferred Gully though then City in the final. :(

Ah well.
