http://www.sportingnews.com/au/football/list/the-secret-agent-socceroos-contract-set-to-be-terminated/12bekv3seaoxy1pdj3g5woelt2Thwaite would strengthen Brisbane roar immensely , they would be looking the goods . Vidosic, does anyone know when seasons end is for the Chinese super league? If it's possible he could be released early than Adelaide United need to be all over this. I haven't heard anything regarding the burns rumour of late and they desperately need a quality attacking player. So far they have lost: Goodwin, djite, sanchez and carusca to miss with injury for the time being. They have only gained guardiola and Henrique of note. Ideally, they could find cap space for vidosic and marquee burns. Then they would actually be looking comparable / if not better, to last year.

We need to increase the cap so clubs can keep these players so they aren't just chasing dollars and being burnt. Also more clubs!! We have the talent pool to have 12 competitive teams.

Adelaide do not require Dario, they have Mells and Makarounas all these older players leaving and returning, what good are they. You have young players in Australia yet you want to always live in the past.

Love to be proven wrong but every team has strengthened and you are relying on Mells who struggled to get any game time last year + Makarounas who had opportunities at MV and whilst was capable of good things, was too inconsistent and lacked polish. A very CCMesque approach by Adelaide this season if they believe they have replaced the quality that has left with the likes of Makarounas, Kitto, Marino, Garuccio etc. Amor deserves his chance to prove those like me wrong.... but i believe Dario + Burns would be great additions to the squad. I have no problem with young players, i love seeing the likes of Mauk, Maclaren, Geria, Gersbach etc come through more than anything..... but doesn't mean all youth has what it takes.

Twenty five appearances 14 Starts eighteen years old I would not call that struggling, but nevertheless you have an opinion. I could let the cat out of the bag but will let Guillermo do that in due course.

Adelaide is not relying on Mells, he is not in the best XI, but like last year will get plenty of game time both filling in for the best XI midfielders when needed and off the bench. He is still young. Adelaide has made the following changes in no particular order Mauk -> Holland Goodwin -> Garrucio Kamua -> Kitto Djite -> Guardiola Pablo Sanchez -> Henrique Dugandzic -> Miluesenic Smith -> McGree Warland -> O'Doherty And Makarounas comes in as an extra midfield option. The main probably for the squad is Marrone is going to be out for quite a while with his grand final Achilles tendon injury and Jordan Elsey has down his ACL so the defence is a bit thin.

Djite -> Guardiola = Unknown Pablo Sanchez -> Henrique = Draw Dugandzic -> Miluesenic - Can't be worse Smith -> McGree - Who and who? Warland -> O'Doherty - again who? And Makarounas comes in as an extra midfield option. The main probably for the squad is Marrone is going to be out for quite a while with his grand final Achilles tendon injury and Jordan Elsey has down his ACL so the defence is a bit thin. I've given my opinion on the In's and Out's above... do you guys see it differently? With Carusca starting the year injured, Elsey going down, and Marrone out for the year that's a weakened list further weakened by injury. 1 or 2 quality additions is what this list needs to keep up with the rest of the comp who have improved vastly.

With Carusca starting the year injured, Elsey going down, and Marrone out for the year that's a weakened list further weakened by injury. 1 or 2 quality additions is what this list needs to keep up with the rest of the comp who have improved vastly. Marrone will not be out for the year, if you meant the whole season, although maybe you mean the calendar year which is certainly likely. Mauk -> Holland = Different type of players, Mauk had a huge impact for Adelaide but Holland should be able to play well. Goodwin -> Garrucio = Certainly Goodwin is the better player, hopefully Garrucio can improve in the same way Goodwin did. Kamua -> Kitto = Kamau was an unproven young talent at the start of last season, he was very good at the end of the season, Kitto has done more at Newcastle than Kamau before last season and I think Kitto can have a better season overall. Djite -> Guardiola = Djite is a loss, whether Guardiola can replace him is questionable. Pablo Sanchez -> Henrique = Henrique needs to score goals, but being an Australian and not taking up a VISA spot probably makes it a good replacement. Dugandzic -> Miluesenic - Miluesenic is young and has had an excellent NPL season but can he step up? Smith -> McGree - Two young midfielders who both fit the under 20 requirement for the squad, McGree played as a make shift striker against Redlands in the FFA cup loss. Warland -> O'Doherty - Warland is a CB who appears to have been dropped off the senior list but is still around the club perhaps on a youth contract, unclear, Might get game time with Elsey being out. O'Doherty is a young winger/striker who appears to have come onto the senior list to meet the under 20 requirement. Has played in some preseason games in the midfield strangely. I missed out one other change, Babalj -> Marino - I think Marino has a big future and will score a good number of goals for Adelaide this season but that is probably a minority view. It seems Danny Choi is going to be signed as an injury replacement for Carrusca for the start of the season, but that would be a down grade.
