+xThe refereeing in the A-league is a joke. Ball players are being injured by bad tackles and players are not being duly punished for bad tackles. What will it take for something to happen? Cahill to have his leg brokenPlease protect the ball player. Send off those players who will not or cannot tackle properly, they have no place in the game. We need a lot more yellows and reds for bad tackles and less for soft incidents which are being given yellow cards. PLEASE protect the ball player. Pretty ironic seeings that cahill split baros cheek and drew blood in the first mins of derby....

I do agree w the premise of this though..... our leagues still too physical... it should be mandated that refs stamp out overly physical play and help to refine the play a little more.

If this is how bad it is at the top level i'd hate to see the lower leagues. And we're supposed to be developing young techincal players in this ?
