Has there been any update on promotion and relegation between NPL2 and State League?
I know the idea was announced earlier this year and looked like it was going ahead in 2017.

I'm pretty sure promotion is going ahead in 2017. I was talking a few weeks back to the some of the folks at my club who play in SL1 and they were saying that next year will be a lot tougher as the richer more ambitious clubs start spending more now that promotion is on the line. The likes of Altona Magic and Preston.

Altona invested significantly this season and played amazing football. Deserved the title and it will be interesting to see if the changes at clubs like BRD will affect their performance. Would be favourites for the drop for mine.

Lots happening off the field at the moment as the CEO and three Board Directors resigned last Friday. The NPL Clubs are not happy with the NPL Licences issued for the next three years and there is on going issues over this. There is a huge call for an NPL and State League review of the current models. Major issues is the Administrations continual implementation of Conferencing (East/West) at NPL Mens, State League Mens, State League Womens and Junior competitions, serving only to weaken the level of competition. Suggestions for the future include; NPL 14 teams NPL2 14 teams State League One 14 Teams OR NPL 14 teams NPL2 14 teams NPL3 14 Teams State League One 14 Teams For Women NPLW 10-12 teams State League One 12 Teams Juniors at Community Level are ranked A B C D with A the highest. Currently there are four zones each with their own Leagues, a Metropolitan A competition is urgently required at junior level to have the best v best at Community level offering an alternative to NPL, help clubs create the infrastructure at youth level to aspire to NPL.
