+xWGMG: fucking Melbourne weather. Don't tell me climate change is a thing if we can't play cricket until November ffs, this spring rain can fuck right off. I swear, driving around Canberra, I've seen cricket games through most of winter, and have been thinking "wtf?" to myself

WGMG: Had my best mate putting up a small fence, a gate and level the backyard at the new house. Needed it done in 8 weeks to claim our $2k bond back. He had $1,500 for the job but we costed at $900- $1,000. Job should've taken 5 days with time for posts to set etc. Its taken nearly 6 weeks (granted i said to work around his business hours) and come in at $1,750. NOT HAPPY. I could've paid anyone to do it for that price and be done in a week or 2 max. Really can't wait to see his costings. Really disappointed.

WGMG: Some old bullies of mine have moved on and started tormenting an autistic kid at school. First they got into his phone, found his girlfriend's phone number and started harassing her with calls. Then they kept harassing him with questions about their relationship and kept asking if he was a virgin until he snapped and stormed off (they've been doing this for weeks, if not months). Poor kid broke down in English the other day. This guy has a hard enough time as it is, it takes all of his energy to deal with the lights, sounds and noises that we don't even notice. Things like flickering lights or the sound of heavy machinery are mere nuisances to us, but they can completely overwhelm his senses. Anyone who would even dare to give someone like him shit is a heartless scummy piece of shit.

I remember similar cases when I was at school with kids being picked on relentlessly. At my school they used to pick on this fat kid who was a really nice bloke. One day he snapped and broke a kids arm who deserved far more than just a broken bone. It's incredibly satisfying seeing a bully cop a flogging.

+xKids with mental disabilities should not attend "normal" schools. It's unfair on them, the teachers and the student body. Outside of all his problems with bullies, he's coping with school just fine and IIRC is also doing a VET course. Why shouldn't he be allowed to attend a "normal" school?

I never said those with mental disabilities couldn't cope with the course load. The sad reality is that most can't, leading teachers to invest more time in them than the rest of the class. That, combined with the bullying issue leads me to believe that those with a mental disability would benefit more from being in an understanding environment with teachers trained to cater to their specific needs. Many of the teachers at my school (and many others, unless I've actually been enrolled at a special needs school this whole time without realising it) are equipped to cater to the special needs of students with disabilities, so that's not a problem. The problem here is the fucking bullies.

Many of the teachers at my school (and many others, unless I've actually been enrolled at a special needs school this whole time without realising it) are equipped to cater to the special needs of students with disabilities, so that's not a problem. The problem here is the fucking bullies. Some students who have disabilities are fine with the normal progression through school, however there are a large number of disabled kids who are not suitable for normal education. My highly autistic cousin is a prime example, he's a little ripper and I love the guy and we get along swell, but at his worst during a meltdown he could throw his teacher through the window, it's not appropriate to have him in a normal schooling environment. It's a perfectly valid point that some people with disabilities are capable of completing the standard course work, however as you lower the bar of what is considered acceptable intellectual capacity you naturally funnel limited teaching resources into focusing on the individuals who are struggling the most, or alternatively if you don't focus on them, then the kid with the disability gets left behind and the benefit of having them in the normal class is almost irrelevant. I teach at a university, both domestic and international students. It's not the same thing obviously but the classes where I have a mix between domestic and international students are by far the hardest to manage due to the difference in communication I have to engage in to ensure that everyone is capable of learning. I often get stuck having to explain basic english to some of the students which results in less time for the average students who could potentially have used the time to learn more advanced concepts. I and many others find it far easier to work in homogenous classes, whereby the level of intellectual capability/language capability/etc is somewhat equal, so that you can progress the class together as you go, which means as individuals fall behind you can quickly bring them back up to the speed of the average of the class. Of course all of this is a moot point however depending on your idea of what a good education should provide. Should a good education lift the lowest performing students up towards the average, should it strive to move the majority up and increase the average, or should it aim to take the top and push it as high as it goes? The three concepts are obviously not mutually exclusive, however in the modern teaching environment it's often difficult to truly engage in more than 1 of these regions with any sort of effectiveness.

+xKids with mental disabilities should not attend "normal" schools. It's unfair on them, the teachers and the student body. Fuck that. They should be allowed to opportunity to be as normal as possible. It's not their fault that c*nt parents raise c*nt children. I think the best solution for bullying is to make the parents of the child who is bullying another stand in front of the entire school and their parents and apologise. Humiliate them to the point that they put the fear of god into their kids.

The problem here is the fucking bullies. Yes, but whilst they're catering to the individual needs of the disabled kid, the rest of the class is lacking guidance. You can claim the problem is the bullies all you want, but the reality is animals pick on the weak. Yes, some are enlightened enough to allow them peace, but many are not or have their own issues that lead them to take their frustration out on those weaker than themselves. Even if you took the mentally disabled kids out of the school, the bullies would still find someone to bully. At least this way, the disabled kids are free from abuse and getting a tailored education. It's the bullies fault because they're taking their shit life out on someone else to boost their own self esteem. These kids are not taught to respect others and treat everyone equally. The problem is home life, not that we have kids with minor disabilities at our schools. Kids that cannot show respect to others should be removed from an environment where they are disruptive. It should not be everyones problem to accept and understand the problems of bullies who take their shit out on others resulting in them having mental issues.

WGMG: When two things i love and one necessity conspire against me. Friday night i had a delicious steak from a Geelong legend, in parkers steakhouse. Saturday i might of had a few more beers then i normally would, and finally my meds that help my TN... all contribute to... GOUT! MY GOD! It's so damn annoying, doctors say the meds mean that I'm basically on the edge of getting it all the time so the other things just tip it over sometimes. So frustrating.

WGMG: I have one essay left fellow vibrations. One. Due today @ 5 but I haven't started it. It's not hard, only 1000 words but damn. I've written at least 12,000 words over the past 3 weeks. Such a tease, freedom is so close, I feel like William Wallace at Stirling Bridge, sweet meaningless freedom is within my pasty grasp

It's so damn annoying, doctors say the meds mean that I'm basically on the edge of getting it all the time so the other things just tip it over sometimes. So frustrating. How does the pain from gout compare to TN? Very different. Both are supremely painful. Granted gout can render you useless on a bad day, like my foot feels so stiff that if i bent it, it would break in two, burning throbbing aching bullshit. The good thing about gout is you can rest your foot/toe/whatever, you can put it up, put ice on it, not use it. You can't do that with your head, you can't just go "I'm going to rest my head today" it doesn't work like that, there are too many variables that cause the pain, food/drink/wind/heat/cold... the worst one is when your having a shit day and youre avoiding all your triggers, and youre stressing out about not eating or whatever.... well for me, stress is a trigger. Its completely fucked. Pain for tn can be really different though. I normally go for months where the best way i can describe it is when you have a radio but it's not quite tuned into a station perfect, like you can hear it but it's fuzzy... if that makes sense. Its a strange headache... that's the easy bit. Then the left side of my face can be from pins and needles, burning, cold or tingling. Super sensitivity on the skin from touching, wind, heat or cold where its like either someone shoots you with a taser that might last a split second or hours or like someone has hit you with a bat, not to mention the electrical pain in my teeth, behind my eyes and drilling pain in my ear or in the temple. As for comparing the pain, I've broken my ankle, wrist, fingers and collarbones... at worst id give them 5/10 Gout is at 7/10 Cellulitis 9/10 Tn 10/10 I literally could not comprehend a pain worse when it's at its height.

I was in Melbourne a few months ago and the Socialists had blocked a street corner and were trying to harass people into signing a petition to remove Pauline Hanson from the Senate. I don't particularly like her, but you can't petition to remove someone because you don't like what they say. That's not how it works. Extreme left wing persuasions seem to think that democracy is only valid if it suits their view.

Communism and Democracy are not mutually exclusive, much like Capitalism and Democracy don't go hand in hand. Granted, we don't see a lot of communist countries that are highly democratic but then we've never ever seen a communist country. We do see highly socialist countries that are also highly democratic and we also see totalitarian regimes who are highly capitalist.
