Was Greg Blewett a batting all rounder?

Seems to be a premature selection, his bowling is handy but nothing special, certainly far inferior to Mitch Marsh and Shane Watson's bowling. It seems to be more in the handy part timer like Blewett or Steve Waugh.

Yes.

Blewett was a very handy player. His bowling was quite good too being able to bowl in the mid 130s.

Could be.

From a Tassie, parochial perspective, I'm disappointed James Faulkner didn't get the job. He has recently been opening the Tassie attack.

Faulkner has played one Test, took 6 wickets and made a few runs. At the end of it Lehmann said he needed to go back to Shield cricket and improve before he was selected again!

Reading an article by Robert Craddock in the local tabloids I'm convinced Nevill should replace Matthew Wade.

Every former Shield cricketer or First Grade cricketer in the TCA members state he is a better wicketkeeper than Wade.

Moreover, even though he has underachieved and underperformed in Test cricket, Nevill making 179 odd not out against Tasmania in a recent Shield game, bodes wells for some improvement at Test level.

I also prefer Neville with both bat and glove

Faulkners bowling is strong enough to play as a bowler

If you play him as an all rounder and replace Lyon with o keefe you have a very balanced side!
But I agree he needs to improve first before getting selected.
Maybe improving his last name to be more marsh like or making his jersey a little more sky blue
