looks very dodge, quickly put together this afternoon.
However quite like the ideas of the page though. that sort of unity front, building the club from the bottom up similar to Melbourne Victory is the way to go. The names Melbourne Patriots or Geelong Patriots would sound wonderful. Patriotic as a victorian i assume?

Terrible name choice. A state based name is stupid especially when theres two other teams in the state. Geelong is far more logical if thats the base they want. And Patriots would be the worse name in the league.

what a fkn ridicluously shit name. either way victoria needs a geelong team and a dandenong team asap. i dont understand why the ffa is waiting 2 years. there is no good reason other than incapable management. now is the time. 2 clubs per year and a second division. australia could have an actual competition in 3 or 4 years.

If they persist with keeping with this dumb name, then it is inevitable that they will want to keep it to not lose the momentum they've gained.
