Adelaide United are apparently about to sign a Sengalese striker and Babacar Gueye, a 30 year old who has been playing in China is being rumoured as being that player.

Other rumours are Henrique is off to Thailand and that Adelaide is going to sign a European attacking midfielder with an Asian passport which would be handy for the ACL.

So it is Papa Babacar 'Baba' Diawara who Adelaide are signing. Has played a lot in Portugal top division with a good scoring record and also in LaLiga in Spain with limited goal scoring. A big tall striker who is very strong in the air, Adelaide will need to learn how to cross to get the best out of him but he still might do quite well.

Looks like a good signing. One of his few goals in Spain was against Atletico Madrid. Portugal is a decent league too.
