So what happened to the DDS talk? 

How did Williams go in the middle of the park? I had to work and missed the game. Also any mention on how bad Wilson's injury is? 

Williams was pretty solid in the middle of the park, looked quite impressive at centre back too. 

So Grant is out for the rest of the season, crap.

If Williams picks up another yellow, hopefully Lowry will be fit and slot right in.

Apparently Scott Neville is returning to Glory next season on a two-year deal.

Not a bad replacement for Risdon.

So it's basically confirmed? I'm not happy with the Risdon for Neville switch. Is playing for WSW really going to further his career? Why change if he's staying in the a-league. 

I think so, it's in the Worst this morning.  I'm not too happy either, but I think Neville will be a good replacement.

Thought it strange he left out the coach and the fans?

Wonder where he is off to. He was solid at the end of the season but I don't mind this. Would really like to see Grant and Lowry become the starting pair and at their age they are much better assets than Dino. With Dino and I assume probably Goian going it would be nice to keep Williams. We need DM and CB cover now so someone who can play midfield and drop into CB if Lowry or Grant gets injured is exactly what we need. Seems pretty much confirmed Williams is gone though. However that means Wilson should be getting a lot of time next season which I think is good. Like Wilson a lot. Seems to have a few mistakes in him but with some experience he's going to be a real solid DM.

Castro resigned. Jacob POSCOLIERO to come in...surely just back up for CB/replacing A. Williams. Surprised to see Harold still contracted? Thought he was leaving for uni.

A lot of outs...but hopefully some good recruitment coming up. Don't see us being anything other than a mid table team again though.

So that leaves Glory with the following as the current best starting 11...........

Not too different from what they had during the season except for Neville in for Risdon.

Now with two foreign spots open I think they really need to go for a play making CAM and the other probably a DM.  That is the remaining puzzle (CAM) left in the Glory jigsaw.  It has been for years and it's time to fix it.  Castro is not it, he's more of an attacking winger.

Pretty happy how they are set with not too much disruption from season 16/17 to 17/18.

It seems a little confusing for how long. It reads as if they are all one year deals but I can't help but think it is a reasonable assumption for them all to be 2 year deals? 

Do yall know if there is confirmation on contract length for any/all of these 3? Cheers.

Any talk or rumours about Lowe and signings? Looks like Lowe is going to use Nichols as our starting AM. Still need another winger and AM I think...gonna be disappointed if we don't make two more signings for those spots before the season starts. And no Nichols for FFA cup...hopefully Castro is in town? When's he come back to training...

There's two visa slots that can be used.  I'm expecting them to be used wisely, as they should.

Aryn Williams to Preston in state league 1 victoria till end of the season. Apparently wants to be in melbourne so victory or city after the state leagues are over ?

Not sure he is good enough to get a squad spot for you guys or City but good luck to him.

Hopefully. Might need a spot free to bring in another CB in quick depending on how injuries go this season. Hopefully Grant and Lowry stay fit and anchor the defense all season. Fingers crossed we fill the holes before season starts so we can try to actually start strong this season.


Any news on pre-season friendlies? The Chilean side pulling out leaves a hole in that regard.
