No. These managers are all better than Graham Arnold. He hasn't even achieved half what these have achieved.

Popovic won the league with a brand new team.
Arnie failed dismally in his first season with an existing team
Popovic won the ACL
Arnie, well, he couldn't do anything even with the Socceroos

Perspective be bitchin

I think that was a massive learning experience for Arnie and deeply changed him. That hurt a lot. The year after CCM got the premiship was knock out by perth in the semis. Took another year to fully recover.
If he can back it up next year, there is no doubt that he is the best coach. But he the most successful at the moment.
Remember the curse of the champion, no one other than the roar bucked the trend.

You blamed a coach, who's side is leading 2 nil with 3 minutes to go in xtra time & end up losing on penalties?

I'd say best manager so far, of all time is kinda of pointless since the A-League is still in its infancy, lets check back in say 50 years then decide.

Yep, you see the angry whingy Arnie now as a consequence of losing the unlosable (with 3 minutes to go) Grand Final. He knew he stuffed up, not instructing his players to be more clinical. Compare that 3 minutes to the clinical professionalism that was displayed by Arnie's team throughout this season.

Hopefully this win will see an Arnie that is a bit more mellow, whilst still demanding a high performance from his team.

It's been a tough time for CCM. They are the league over achiever, that are rock bottom. SFC not helping the cause by taking all their staff and players. Like the Melbourne teams and the Roar.

no the team he had this year any coach would have won it if the ffa done a proper audit of what they spent on players like they done with Perth I think it could be a different story but Lowy wouldent allow that just my thoughts.

He's a perfectionist. I'd expect someone like Popovic to say exactly the same thing. No matter how good they have it, they'll never be content. It is a good trait to have in a your head coach.

He is complaining about poor refereeing that supposedly would have made them the invincibles but seems to forget the calls have gone their way throughout the season as well aka Carney handball. Why he would mention this after a great season is pointless, it comes off as stupid and whinging for the sake of it.

Of course every coach wants to improve, I don't see how moaning about the above situation has anything to to with that.

That's the difference between Arnie and Popovic. Arnie wins the grand-final and still sees ways to improve whereas Popovic loses three grand-finals and lauds it as a great achievement. Just like Western Sydney, Popovic is happy with mediocrity.
