I agree. Next season is their wide open window of opportunity to challenge for the league and (Europa League final pending) Champions League. But past 2017-18, it could be a different story. Mourinho is like milk and his teams are like the strawberry flavouring- when it's fresh, all is sweet. But leave it out too long and the milk goes off, the whole thing becomes rotten and you've got to dump it down the sink and start again.

He may win the Europa League, he may win the PL next season, but I don't think Mourinho was a good appointment for Man United. Like Liverpool or Arsenal, they are a club with too much of an established culture, very much built upon managerial stability and having a solid nucleus of players- while Mourinho is a manager with too big an ego for it to work in the long-term without him leaving the place in scorched-Earth fashion like he's done before. A manager like Klopp would've been much better long-term for United, and I'm grateful Liverpool snapped him up after the shit dished out by Wooyyyyyyy and the tactical naivety of Brendan Rogers that exposed itself at the back end of his tenure.
