His multi was banned and it'll happen again if he goes off topic in threads. He's been warned on the AFLW post but in general this thread was pretty much bait for him from the beginning.

My multi was banned?

According to the geniuses on this board I have a few multis.

The more obvious answer is he is a sad old man, likely retired, that sadly has nothing else left.

It's true I don't work, don't need to work, have not needed to work for years.

Football is my life now.

Do not shed tears for me - I lead a life of luxury and want for nothing.

The true beneficiaries are those who can learn from my knowledge and experience.

AusFootballFan was banned for far less shitposting and derailing of threads but I don't think I would wanna see Pip banned as he clearly has not much else and we should probably make some allowances for the old and infirm dears out there. There but for the grace of god etc...

The paid employment was me trying to be a bit facetious.  He's more than likely not  paid, even though I wouldn't put it past the AFL.

I do agree with this though...

but it's just as likely he's irrationally obsessed with doing his bit to derail football's growth in Australia by trolling us fans.  (Cheers BA81)

You're the bloke flooding a football forum with AFL rubbish day and night, night and day.

If I went to bigfooty and slagged off the AFL by using football as an example to shit all over their game 100 times a day for months on end then yes you could pin that label on me.

You're not a well man.  You're no doubt a smart bloke, no doubt about that at all but you've got problems.

Sydney person reads AFL article, gets upset. AFL merchant informs about which cereal the WCEs ate for breakfast today and we get clogged up in Australian football.

It's the off season, it's a bit of fun, no-one is upset in Sydney, AFL is a niche sport up here, we just pity the domination of the sport in Melbourne, but this is just fun.

I have to echo Robbo's sentiments. Whatever propoganda the AFL is spewing about the health of the game in Sydney don't believe it. If the game wasn't shown on Fox Sports News I would barely know it exists. No water cooler talk, no one wearing merchandise, no sherrins in the park, no kids playing AFL competitions on the weekend, no assaults in the stands or on the streets, no one grabbing your jumper and punching you. If you need to go cold Turkey this is the place.

I was just noticing that the Swans are averaging a home attendance of just under 31,000, despite being near the bottom of the ladder.

I wonder how that compares to the attendances of more established sports in Sydney?

This is a niche sport, it has a small but strong band of followers. Just like football is a niche sport (just bigger). Sydney FC in the past 18 months has had 2 bigger attendances then the Swans & the Swans played in a local derby semi finals in Australia's biggest local competition, (biggest AFL game ever in Sydney) & yet the Sydney Derby in Australia's 4th ranked competition beat them with a H&A game.

As RBB says, to see someone kicking a sherrin in Sydney, you do a double take, because it is rare.

Pippinu you need a nice blowie off some south american latino chick to relieve some tension. Your clearly lacking imagination in your everyday life, creating multis, arguing about non issues etc. it's all quite pathetic. That would be punishment in itself but we're trying to help the guy to stop shit posting. A nice latino chick with big breasted nipples would have him hanging from the rafters for dear life.

theres always the bigfooty forum for PiP...

they can marvel in the shock and awe of AFL , expansion overseas , over inflated viewing numbers, , womens sport, umpires
In fact  PiP could even become an AFL approved media person, ( there are more of these than AFL players )
Heres how
1. Love AFL and proclaim it is the best sport in the world
2. Have a unique background ( LGBTI, ethnic, muslim , aboriginal etc) as this supports the AFL multicultirism, indigienous, gay, women, muslim, hindu, etc rounds
3. Whinge about umpires ( but not too much )
4. Blame all scandals as society issues not code issue. ( eg drugs , violence against women , drink driving , betting.) Any other sport that has these issues are code issues, not society
5. Negative soccer articles are encouraged and will boost your profile ( see susie o brien, kane cornes , patrick smith as examples )

Newly inducted AFL legend Malcolm Blight says Aussie rules is becoming too much like the rugby codes, and has suggested the league consider rule changes aimed at showcasing skills instead of tackling.

Blight, who was last night elevated to legend status at an Australian Football Hall of Fame gala in Adelaide, is far from the first to lament the congestion that has come to characterise the modern game.

But the Magarey and Brownlow medallist, premiership player and coach, said he had witnessed plenty of change since the 1950s, and did not entirely like the new spectacle.

"When you get 36 players in an eighth of the ground — I don't reckon that was our game," he said.

"We've got to be careful we don't become rugby [league] and we don't become rugby union. They're great games, let them stay there."

"We should keep our space. Space is what makes our game on the ground better. We can show our skills."

Blight, who played most of his career during the 1970s and 80s when free-flowing football and long kicking were the norms, said modern coaching was partly to blame.

He said young players had been "hard done by" as a result.

"They're not being able to display their skills, but learning more how to tackle. I don't think that's the way the game should go," he said.

Zoning an option to reduce congestion

The 67-year-old suggested zoning as a possible solution by limiting the number of players on parts of the ground.

"We've just got to look strategically at the game. I would try something. We have a vehicle — we have a competition at the start of each year," he said.

"I'd even start to try some things at the lower levels, perhaps at the state level or just below that."
