+xBWE 1-0 APIA Was a smart game by our boys, we effectively shut them out and they didnt have many proper chances but fk they are deadly when they have the ball. Much credit has to go to Fondyke, Norval & Ott, new boys done well. Good to see our reserves get their 5th win which puts them in finals contention. What happened to Chronopolous? APIA are definitely the best side we've played this year. They didnt look great in round 1 when we played them at Edensor but they were excellent when we played them at Lambert a few weeks ago.

+xnothing wrong with lambert park. warm up area was the missing link. I understand its now finished. all npl 1 clubs comply with all requirements although Hensley is borderline. only a handful in the leagues below. Looking at the ground criteria I'd say every ground falls short on at least one or two aspects. You cant tell me that APIA have seating for 500. Pitch width would be tight as well.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers president Mr Tony Raciti is very proud of the work that has taken place and of the new dimensions of the field. “The playing area is 109m x 68m and it’s the biggest natural dirt infill in the Southern Hemisphere,” he said.“Lambert Park is now bigger than Old Trafford, Emirates Stadium, Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena, Juventus Stadium in Turin, Ajax Amsterdam’s ground, Benfica’s ground and even bigger than Brazil’s World Cup final venue.“The Camp Nou in Barcelona is 7,420 square metres while Lambert Park is now 7,412 square metres

No lol, no dugouts at either of them you just get a few plastic chairs. Also have you seen Fraser's? Their "bench" they give you is a few broken chairs with the padding coming off

FINALLY Ffs, thats all that bloke had to say but couldn't....... I know loool could have just said it was the warm up area Could have but didn't want to mislead all you experts, measure the clearance the field has from the fence then read the regulations. If the regulations were followed you'd then have one of those detested small fields, so bugger that, ignore the rules that everyone else has to abide by.

I'll rephrase: "ALMOST every ground would fall short on one or two aspects"

The reasoning I heard Kemblawarra were kicked off was confusing and I'm sure the person I heard off was leaving out parts of the reasoning.

+xPanni walked out on Thailand ALREADY? Can't blame him, apparently it got out that a Greek star was turning up and he got mobbed by ladyboys. Seems they're real keen on Greek stuff.

Leaves after 24hrs. I find it odd. Could of been the set up at the club he didnt like? homestick after a day? no idea... He did say for personal reasons so i guess you need to respect that. Hopefully he comes back to United as we will need him.

How is he allowed to play on Sunday, pretty sure window closed on the 15th/16th & Syd Utd would have had to release him so he could go to Thailand.
Mark Stavrou pulling strings lol

Maybe big sam never de-registered him? if United de-registered him, and the Thai club gave him the clearance to leave, doesnt that make him a free agent? can free agents in the NPL sign at any time?

A player needs to be a free agent to be able to sign a new contract. Only way he could play on the weekend is if United didn't de-register him. going from pro to amateur means a 30 day wait from his last match and the pro window is closed. he's only able to re-register as an amateur.

Lucky to get away with a draw against olympic. They missed a pen and missed a sitter late in the game from about 2m out with an empty goal.our best chances came late in the game, a couple of pressured one on ones and a few free headers over the bar. We'll be a different team next week with Canak an El Hafiane available for selection and Reid getting a full game game under his belt for the first time in a month and half.

Weird kind of game. whilst Olympic were on top first half, we seemed to run over them last 20 (apart from that one decent chance at the end to them). Reidy definitely needed the game, was rusty. canak back this week who was massive for us the past few weeks. great day nonetheless, clean sheet first grade, won 18's, won 20's.
