⬇️
He would be great back here. Has the ability to make others around him look good as well (Hoole, Taggart, Brillante-Jets, Bonevacia, McGlinchy-Phoenix etc) Similar to Castro at Glory. Here's a long range forecast based on hunches only. Shimizu just off loaded golden boot Peter Utaka to Sanfrecce who probably had an option after he had played a few games there on loan. Sanfrecce (not in a position to have a crack at the Jleague title this season) loaned him to Tokyo FC (who help no doubt pay his wages). Burns was linked with Sanfrecce around the time FC took option to extend his contract (probably same time Sanfrecce was negotiating for Utaka) Next season both Neymar Burns and Utaka play at Sanfrecce. Burns replaces Mihael Mikic who got a 1 yr extension for this season around the time the Burns missing out on Sanfrecce story surfaced. Mikic is now 37 having played in those championship Sanfrecce sides but is winding down.

He has to start regularly to get back into Ange's calculations

Would have improved every A-League team. Hope he has a good season in Japan playing regularly as he's the type of player the Socceroos need.

Really feel as though Burns has never made the most of his obvious talent. The move to AEK was a bad one to start with. Surely another club in Europe would have bee keen

+xWould like him as a CF option for the Roos would like to see him up front in a two pronged 4-4-2 because he likes to cause havoc from wide to take on defenders and can also get into good positions to finish from. He'd be wasted as a lone target man. I doubt him and juric would combine so well though, So juric working as a lone striker which he does quite well or......... burns and someone else working together but who?

Rogic should really be a second striker behind Juric and in front of either Kruse or Troisi it is easily his best position. I think he could play that type of role as the back up to rogic

I'd play him as a kind of #9½, operating in between the #10 and #9 - he can still receive the ball at his feet moving towards goal and play through balls to the attacking wide men and into the 18yd box, but would operate closer to goal when we're attacking and he doesn't have the ball, taking up attacking positions of a #9 in and around the 18yd box.
