So for peeps who were asking here is the link to my database of an alternative league setup :) Editor DatabaseJust a little fyi about the teams - all I did to populate the leagues to begin with is sort all the Australian clubs by reputation and add them that way. Nothing fancy lol.

+x+x+x+x+xWould love if you've done one keeping Australia in the Asian Confed .. Might try to win the ACL with one of the state league clubs :D I did one with a 4 tier open league with pro/rel - 5 visa players in a squad of 25 are pretty much the only restriction. Interested? If so, I can upload it here :) Yes please! No worries mate - I'll do it tonight :) It's not as indepth as RBB Wanderer's, going all the way down the state league confederations and the like, but it's just a simple approximation I made of what a tiered system would look like - also has the added perk of being in Australia, so you get to play in the ACL etc. Also, I was a bit 'liberal' with the TV money - because I was using existing clubs, I was finding the clubs that were placed in the A1 league alongside the A-League clubs were struggling massively. Even if I increased the reputation of the NPL clubs to match that of the A-League ones, because their facilities were much lower (especially stadiums) they were just never breaking the top 9 A-League clubs (I did kick the Nix out lol). So to counter that, and give the NPL clubs the chance to close the gap, I just gave out some ridiculous TV money every season: A1 League - $20 million A2 League - $15 million A3 League - $10 million A4 League - $5 million As a result, it probably makes the game a tad easier, as you're usually not worrying about finances, even at the A4 level, but it is somewhat counteracted by the reputation of the club, meaning a lot of players won't sign with you until you get into at least the top half of A2. Also gives you the security to really pump up the facilities of the club, especially the youth academy, to develop your own players. It was my first database edit, but after numerous trial and error efforts, I've got something that works and is fun :) Also got a fully functioning FFA Cup in it as well, although no ACL spots for the winner - top 2.5 from the A1 League get to the ACL. In my save, Perth Glory are absolutely dominant lol - consistently hitting the semis of the ACL, and the national side is doing ok as well. Sounds awesome! Great to see this thread so used! I made it to the semis with Wellington and played the victory in the first season Check out the game below https://youtu.be/4NMa8KJ7t50

Well I'm pretty fast with the editor, wouldn't take me more than 2-3 hours to restructure an entire nation with 5-10 leagues within it.

+xWould it work if I emailed you the actual database file ? And you just copy that into your fm17 data folder, the same as if you would for any facepacks or logos etc Shit I don't think my message from last night sent, here is what I wrote. So as a starting point: in this folder: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2017\editor data You should have a config.xml file and there should be another .dbc file in there. Are they both there? You created it using the editor tool right? If so - I think you'd need to upload both of those files. the .dbc file should be a lot bigger in size. Best to zip/rar these together.

+x+x+x+xI'm still figuring out how to upload it to steam ! A little help guys lol This is my question. Ahh thought you had it uploaded! I know how to install and use, etc.. I'll do a bit of research.. Just replied to your PM. I've figured out what files are needed and how to add to your SI folder locally. Not sure about Steam yet. @TheSelectFew did you know how to do that part, I think it's easy enough? I'll have a look in tonight. It sounds easy enough tbh.

It is a big file. I made over 2000 database changes just to get the database running bug free... including some team name changes (NQF changed to Townsville fury etc) reimergance of parramatta power, Sydney crescent, northern spirit, Penrith united (Hornsby spirit) in npl nsw 3. Reimergance of Carlton sc, Footscray just, Gippsland falcons etc in VPL 4. Every single club in the Australian database is in this league system

+x+x+x+xI actually made a database for the AleagueAleague / Australia in Europe DivisionsA-league 18 teams (3down)A-2 league 18 teams (3 up 3 down)Npl 18 teams (3 up 3 down)5 State leagues 16 teams each conference (Nsw, Vic/tas, SA, QLD, WA/NT) (top 2 in each conference admitted to final 9 promotion table where each plays eachother once. Top 3 in this final group are promoted) (3 in each conference relegated to conference below,State league 2 ( same as above) State league 3 (same as above)State league 4 (same as above) State league 5 (same as above)If anybody wants the database let me know Thats awesome Can I get your database from Steam? I play FM everyday, but in the English leagues. The HAL with 10 teams, one division and no pro/rel is too boring on FM. Would definitely give this a crack though. Could you flick the database through to me in PM please. Also need a how to for uploading. xx Will walk you through it as soon as I have it! kiss emoji.jpg I pulled out my external hard drive for this moment.

I did think of keeping Australia in Asia... but I thought the challenge and excitement of Europe would be too good to pass up. I swapped Israel from Europe to Asia and Australia from Asia to Europe. The only contradiction in the game is the first 2 seasons Australia is still in World Cup qualifiers in Asia. But after the 4th season they are put in European qualification zone. Also from the first season the junior national teams are in all junior uefa competitions, so the experience our young Players get from these youth call ups is big on development.
I have two databases. My updated one is the one I screenshotted last night, with 16 teams in a1-a2. 18 teams in npl, and 16 in state leagues all the way to state league division 3.
How do I upload the database on steam I've been trying to work it out forever now !!

First season is over, playing as Brisbane city to mix things up and see where I could take them, managed to just scrape out of the relegation zone. I'm looking forward to season 2 Here are the second division standings. Below are the npl (3rd division standings) Now state leagues Melbourne victory qualified for the Europa league group stage but failed to progress This was the pre-season predictions for the A-league I found it strange that central coast were the first a-league team relegated in the first season. I didn't expect it to happen within the first 3-4 seasons tbh. Especially with all squads for every team up to date with real time transfers. Let's see if they can win promotion next season. Also interesting to see how south Melbourne and Melbourne knights do in the A-league from promotion along with the winner of the promotion playoff between Heidelberg and west Adelaide. Another thing I'm keen to see is the recruitment and scouting the clubs do now that Australia is part of the European confederation (in game). And with Europa league and champions league lucrative group stage who clubs now target with having more money, and a bigger stage to apsire to. I've set the seasons payouts of clubs to 6m each team. Plus the Winner receives 4m in prize money, 2nd place 3.3 mil etc and 16th gets 700k. FFA cup prize money is 110k per stage win, and 2mil for the winner
