Agreed. Unfortunately that's 2 out of 3 FFA Cup games against an A-League side. 

It'll sort itself out over time, but with only one NT entrant each year it'll take longer than I'd like.

Hellenic are 11 wins from 11 games with a goal difference of 38, and clear at the top of the table by 13 points.  

The NT Norzone league is a bit different than most others because the quality distribution is so wide. The average ELO points of the league is lower than most leagues from other States, but it's usually dominated by one or two teams who pick up all the points and sit high on the rankings (in 2016 it was Darwin Olympic).  At the same time the clubs at the bottom of the Norzone league pick up very few points and are very low on the rankings.  Other leagues tend to have a more balanced split.

For example, the average ELO for the Norzone is below every other NPL.  Hellenic and Darwin Olympic are high on the rankings (#23 and #48) but at the other end you have Uni Azzurri (#185), Port Darwin (#182) and Mindil Aces (#114).  

Because of the wide distribution in that particular league, Hellenic will stay high on the rankings as long as they keep winning.  As soon as they drop points to any of those clubs low on the rankings we could see them drop quickly.

to be fair I imagine the elo ratings are slightly distorted to be flattering to npl sides since a league sides tend to play second teams when they meet them

Glory finished in 5th last year, 5th the year before, 7th before that, 8th before that and then 6th. They havent won a trophy in 20 years.

I am less concerned about the flattery to npl sides, there's clearly a bias applied to "close the gap" but see my post on Glory in third, that can not be by any measure, accurate. so the method used to calculate this is flawed somehow.

Should an npl side be ranked higher than an A League side? common sense says no but it doesnt matter if they are providing there is logic, Glory in third? no logic. flawed.

Oh, so it's a Glory thing then?  I'm guessing their two good cup years have some bearing and their salary cap year would still be in there for the results, just not the final standings.
