Ange really is showing his hypocrisy if he is not picking Spira purely because he's playing in the Chinese 2nd division - Kruse had no club at all earlier in the year and was getting selected, Smith has played 5 games in the last 5 years, and Jedinak has played one half of football in 6 months and still gets selected. Not to mention that Spira actually played well in the last round of qualifiers, while Smith has played like absolute p*ss all year for the Roos and still gets selected. One rule for Ange's mates, another for everyone else.

He went long quite a few times unsuccessfully, clearly getting frustrated with the slow ball movement and that probably annoyed Ange massively. Short and slow and if that doesn't work try going slower is Ange's plan, woe betide anyone who fails to follow it.

+xBailey Wright when the ball is at his feet is a nightmare. A nightmare without the ball too. Have you seen him try and defend one v one? Makes average attackers look like Ronaldo. He's just all round a mess. I find it hard to believe he's a professional let alone playing for oz. Theres a number of better NPL center backs.

+xRuka hey?!I don't understand Ange.... he has staked this squad with left sided attacking players.... but why!We already have Rogic and troisi as his understudy.I understand gesbach smith and behich are vying for the same spot and then Goodwin in the mix.But what we are really after is a left centre back... so Jurman comes in... he should be looking more into this.. bring in Davidson Williams and co.If he is looking for more attacking players surely it's on the right side????Very thin in this position and don't mention if leckie goes down who fills his spot!!!!! You probably don't understand Ange because you're trying to use logic. He honestly just likes picking random players. For example one day he'll pick a starting 11 and the next he'll swap half the team. Often the players he swaps were the best players and the ones he keeps were the worst. I think, maybe, he's gone insane or something. Why pick spira after ages of not picking him for example and then drop him after he played really well. There's no logic... its actually kind of funny.

He really must have an ego the size of Jupiter, and apart from winning a couple of domestic titles, it's not really justified. OK he won the 2015 Asian Cup, but it was on home soil, we didn't have to play Japan, and South Korea had a relatively weak squad (only 6/23 playing in Europe). I dunno, maybe his actions and abysmal Roos performances of the past 12 months have soured my view of his previous achievements, but I just cannot fathom his stubbornness and absolute inability to accept that he may have made some wrong choices in the second phase of qualifying. It's as though he's won three world cups before and so his word should therefore be infallible. What a strange dude.

Yer the only reason we got Paulinho to the A-League was because he was playing in China, otherwise Barcelona or someone would have swooped tbh.

His South Melbourne side, his Brisbane side, his socceroos side up till a couple of years ago are no flukes, he was an awesome coach. That fact is that he's changed. He's not the same person. Just look at his interviews and his body language. He looks constantly depressed, agitated, angry and weak. This team has no attributes of the great teams he has coached in the past.

Leckie 4 goals in 5 games now in the Bundesliga.. Will still be on the team sheet as a wing back.

Can't see Ange switching from a back 3, but there is a chance we'll see Leckie and Kruse higher up the park supporting Juric, possibly a 3-4-3
Ryan Milligan - Sainsbury - Wright McGowan - Mooy - Rogic - Gersbach Leckie - Juric - Kruse
You'd expect McGowan to play a little deeper and Gersbach to support the attacks.
If we had a decent right full back or wingback that formation could work well.
Could almost work with Irvine/Luongo next to Mooy and Rogic coming in as an impact sub.

It is such a tough squad to try and make a three at the back formation work but I don't like McGowan wide on the right even in a defensive full back kind of role. Ange is going to expect whoever is on the right to go forward.
