The pre-match program on Fox seems to be hinting at some trouble at City involving McCormack and Carrusca. Both are officially out injured but the hints are something else might be happening. Anyone have any idea?

I might have misunderstood, perhaps they were just meaning the issues around Cahill but it seemed to be more than that.

Andy Harper just saying there is something up with McCormack, apparently not injured and not playing.

Valkanis is still there and people are acting surprised about backroom issues? Goldfish memories.

Going slightly off topic here: But people who follow football are used to consistency where as people who follow AFL / NRL are used to upsets
Last week CCM defeated SFC and this week BR defeated MC
This is quickly turning into another season where the top half of the table will end up with 9-10 wins each at the end of the season and it is decided by either goal difference or an AU style "Bradbury" run
Teams seem very much in preseason

Your last sentence seems to sum it up for me too.
In a resort somewhere

Your last sentence seems to sum it up for me too. Yes a good analogy ....all teams seem underdone this year . I thought it was just the Roar (they seem more underdone than most ) but everyone seems slightly off kilter . There are some great talents imported this season at most clubs but it doesn't seem yet like most have really gelled . It is a strange season all round . It actually almost feels like preseason . I keep waiting for the advertising and the Launch ,. It has started with a whisper and its shows in the crowd numbers. Under 10,0000 at Suncorp ...it was closer to 20,000 last season for the same game

+xValkanis is still there and people are acting surprised about backroom issues? Goldfish memories. I completely forgot he was at city then i saw him on the sideline and i was like that a hole still has a job. Such a disruptive person.

“It was Cahills first game in Brisbane” .... the crowd last season was just over 20k; and yes it was Cahills first game but NO other club hit a big lift from Cahill and he was not the reason the crowd was that big.

He got Wigan relegated from the Championship with a reasonable squad last season. Everyone there hated him too and he lost the dressing room pretty quickly. They made a mistake with his appointment imo

They made a mistake with his appointment imo they definitely needed to reign in some of the egos and getting the team working harder on the pitch. the league isnt really competitive enough to get the best out of players. there's no consequence for losing. but they could have done this without bringing in such a shitty manager.
