+x+xLove Australian football and my team and I love Star Wars, but the Star Wars round idea is obviously cringe; but if the teams walk out to the Imperial March soundtrack I might just change my mind about all this. Got to admit that would be hilarious, I know Spurs walked out to 'Duel of the Fates' from Star Wars when the players walk out. Hilarious? or awesome. I know this star wars round idea sounded ridiculous but when i start singing Bomb bom bom Bomp ba bomb it actually starts to sound pretty awesome.

Personally I don't actually mind the Star Wars round, added some exposure to the A-League, got onto the main news tonight which barely happens during the regular season.

Personally want to see MV or WSW walk out to the cantina song. WSW could do the dance under the banned TIFO.

A few years ago I played for Brisbane Force FC in the Brisbane Premier League. It was the first year the club had played in the BPL for a long time, and for the opening game of the season (at home) someone decided it'd be a good idea to walk out to the Star Wars theme song... I'm a Star Wars fan, but that was tough

Dunno if this is about game times but I’ve complained for years about this. MV play 1 or 2 games for the year before 7.45 or usually 8pm by the time a game starts. This excludes most kids from going. It’s ludicrous. I know of many families that want to go to games but they simply start too late.
There is no reason why through out October, November , beginning of December they cannot have 4pm games so young kids can go.

Yep, there is no excuse outside of the hottest months why we don't have earlier kickoffs.

In the Southern states, you could easily work towards 3pm kickoffs on a Saturday or a Sunday on either side of summer (October/November and then March/April). Not to mention that night games should be kicking off at 7pm anyway in my opinion - once again, we're following the AFL and NRL's lead in allowing the TV networks to push the actual game further and further behind so that they can squeeze in more drivel at the start of the telecast.

Couple of years ago Perth Glory hosted a home match that kicked off at 3pm on a Sunday in October. Temperature that day reached 36C. Everyone on here started bleating about how the FFA should have known how hot it can get in the daytime (in October) in Perth. They're damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

The FFA will pull out all stops to get a SFC v WSW GF in an attempt to drive up good publicity for the game with all the negative publicity of late and dwindling crowds...
There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Here's one: European leagues should have finals.

More and more seem to be heading away from the standard H&A regular season. Not quite towards finals, but Scotland and Belgium table splits are fairly new I believe. I wonder if they have bitters moaning about this too?
On a serious note, perhaps these leagues have also found the need to compete for attention with bigger leagues as well.
I was surprised to see there are several other leagues that play teams 3 times like we do eg Switzerland.

+xHere's one: European leagues should have finals. I'd watch that. Top 4. 1 vs 2. Winner in. Loser plays winner of 3 vs 4. Brilliant. Not to take away from the Premiership but it would be fun to watch. I mean, that's why we love the world cup so much. It's the knockout, cutthroat aspect that makes it so great.

+xSo you’re better off coming 3rd than 2nd? No. 1st or 2nd gets a second chance. 3rd or 4th doesn't.

Paul Izzo is the best keeper in the league. Young is good but overrated. Every league in the world should have a salary cap. Andrew Hoole is a decent player. Moss is better than Duncan. Elsey could be a future Socceroo.
I also agree with Pala about finals.

if Matthew Spiranovic had been played at striker since his teens, he’d be better than he is as a CB.
Great technique, height and a football brain would’ve made him very hard for defenders to handle.
Think about it.
