The Den’s planned tifo for Sunday’s game has been banned by the FFA as being “too political” (it said “STOP THE ROT”) which – to my mind at least – is hardly political.
The WSW were apparently fined recently for the RBBs tifo which was seen as bring critical of the current impasse (remember seeing it but it wasn’t that controversial or memorable).
Why do the ffa have to approve free speech?

Typical Den, just don't know your place. Give them all a ban. Well done FFA.

Waz I'm sure if you ask some former Melbourne Heart supporters nicely there's a number of "ALOISI OUT" banners that are collecting dust that I'm sure they'd be happy to lend out. Which of course would never be approved. Such is the change in FFAs strangle hold over supporters during the time.

Only those that are (or could conceivably be) aimed at them.

@ niko
There’s always a hesitation at Roar to hold up banners calling for the coach out after the now infamous “Mulvey Out” sign that was raised early in Mike’s tenure before going on to run away with the title. The culprits still cop it today I’m sure.
But news out today that we’re reviewing our training facilities and sports science dept as two more players, D’Aggers and Calletti who are both teenagers, were added to the injury list.
Maybe the sign should have said “STOP THE EXCUSES”

@ tomw
“stop the rot” was linked to the RBBs recent tifo aimed at the ffa, so obviously they took this one as being aimed at them not the club.

@Waz
I'm sure you'll be safe from any sort of silverwear with Alosi. You will get a vast array of excuses from him though.

Active support is basically dead in this league.
No more flags, no more banners, no more tifos and no more drums. These additives made the match day experience better than the other codes but it’s all gone down shit Creek.

If we boycott, that says more than a banner.

My first thought after the second red was how the ref was relying a lot on VARS to make decisions. I thought it was for the shockers where there was something obvious missed.

"Stop the Rot" Is that like a double shot, one for Brisbane and one for the FFA

lol It does get more airtime. There’s a bit of an explanation of the sequence of events on The Den’s Facebook page and the meaning behind the tifo: https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1538920232881449&id=304147943025357&set=a.307068772733274.71044.304147943025357&ref=notif_textonlyClub approved it probably knowing the ffa would ban it. In England/Germany/Scotland do the local FA’s get involved in wording on supporters banners?

Im starting to think the FFA don't like seeing freedom of speech, we have to remember it's 'their league' not for us fans, volunteers.
Talk about communism still alive in today's world!

@ Mr. B.
I think this was kind of a 3 for the price of 1 special - FFA, Bakries and JA lol but yeah, FFA were the target but lets face it if you were watching on tv this arvo you’d assume it’s aimed at the club not the ffa (it’s hardly specific).
But having banned it, it’s getting air play across social media and the ffa are copping a serve for banning it AND the real meaning behind the banner is being explained. 😂😂
