OK he has been there too long But that doesn't mean he can't manage anymore.
These players the last few years have not been doing what they are overpaid to do, no wonder Sanchez had enough and his pitch mannerisms of frustration proves it now even more.

Previous squads made the top 4 consistently because the teams behind them were crap. The rest of the league has caught up to us now while the teams ahead of us have moved forward and we've been stuck because we have a manager who for whatever reason cannot motivate players anymore.

You know what, fuck it. Lets give him a life contract since none of it is his fault and it's everyone elses fault and all the transfer failures have been just bad luck. All those players who got worse under Wenger and then improved after they left, all just bad luck.

Another problem is change after so many years of consistency isn't a guaranteed success. Look at Moyes at United. He was lost at sea with that Club. The talk is of Henry managing but what has he got as far as credentials? Theres being a club legend and then theres actually being able to tactically compete with someone like Guardiola. 

Maybe time has caught up with Wenger who used to be able to pluck obscure players and make them fit around superstars. 

I don't know how Arsenal fixes this problem but if they do sack Wenger it may get worse before it gets better. 

We're going through the Moyes period without actually hiring a bad manager, just re-signing one. 

I'd take our chances on someone different.

BR didn't do too bad - we challenged and nearly got there but we lacked a backline.
Sure some over priced dud buys but he was on a course but we never had the luxury of being in CL as you guys have and thats partly thanks to wenger.
