Hopefully this goes better than Yeboah's move.

So the same club that has Yeboah and Jacob Italiano when he joins in a couple of years, i wonder if they all share the same agent! ;)

But good luck to the kid, hopefully, it accelerates his development.

I’m highly doubtful that he will break through there.
He’s alright but he’s main asset is pace, technically there will be far better kids that are more advanced than him.

Could be good for his development but you don’t want to get lost in the footballing wilderness like Yeboah

Gladbach is fast becoming an elephants graveyard for talented young Australian footballers.

Leckie was lucky enough to escape....not so much Yeboah. Hopefully Theo sees the light because he won’t get much game time, I’ll guarantee it.

I’m not sure we’re watching the same player?

He’s biggest asset is that he can go past someone, At pace and then release or cross dangerous deliveries into the box.

The game against Kawasaki showed how technical he is, going past one player and then getting fouled in the box.

I think you may be referring to Buhagiar, who’s main asset is his pace.

With Yeboah im surprised he still sticked around with them for this long, maybe his too comfortable with his surroundings who knows.

Good luck to him. Gladbach signed a young Spurs kid yesterday too. They're hoarding young talent and already have a massive first team squad.

I find the issue is these players get stuck in the 4th tier reserves and get stigmatised quite quickly and it's very hard to get a deal in Liga 3 let alone Bundesliga 2.

Occasionally a young one gets a top grade run and does well. Sometimes they continue at that level and others get demoted back down despite performing well. It's quite baffling.

Hopefully he goes out on loan somewhere instead of rotting in the reserves like Yeboah did. Be more of a Leckie than a Yeboah please!

I wonder if that'll continue into Bundesliga? Hopefully by the somehow unlikely.

Bundesliga 2 I meant of course. I think Yeboah will return to Gladbach then move permanently somewhere else. Time for a starting position somewhere, anywhere.

He's not even received a pro contract by the look of it. U23 are still classified as 'amateur' and have lots of clauses limiting the club's obligations to provide them with first team matches etc.

Ds98, IMO while technically Theo is alright.
He does use his pace against tiring defenses as his best trait when he came off the bench.
He’ll do a step over here or there and accelerate really quickly and get that yard or so in front of a defender.
Funnily enough when he started, he had to use his pace a bit more conservatively and was largely ineffective.

In Germany they would have plentiful supply of these types of players. This is why I feel he will struggle over there.

Yeesh. Is there a difference between their U23 side and Gladbach II in Regionalliga West?

Hope they loan him somewhere good asap. Have we learned nothing from watching Yeboah vanish into thin air?

No U23 is the Regionalliga team. Traditionally U23 but even oldies play there these days. They're also called 'amateur'. Next level is often an U20 then U17 then each age to around U9.

It's regionalliga, which is exactly where Yeboah was. 4th tier.

Such a low level of football. Shame to leave a professional environment in the A-League to play in an amateur 4th tier :(

John Grimaud is the aforementioned agent.
