By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Sains and Ryan will have impressed anyone watching for sure.
Hopefully Arzani gets a solid run next game.

I don't think I have seen this many 'user's in the one thread all at the same time. Nice ☺

This German channel I’m watching seems to be singing praises for Mooy and our defensive shape

Proud of the boys. It's still the beautiful game, even when it rips your heart out of your arse.

I'll be pissed if this squad rests on their "near enough= good enough" laurels and fails to kick on in the next two games. Based on tonight, we're a red-hot chance of progressing out of the group stages.
There are only two intellectually honest debate tactics: (a) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s facts, or (b) pointing out errors or omissions in your opponent’s logic. All other debate tactics are intellectually dishonest - John T. Reed

Whole squad did great (even Rogic). Very proud of the effort put in. Unlucky goal from Pogba but we can certainly take a lot of positives into the next match.

Proud but disappointed. Unlucky that ball went over the line. A little unlucky with the penalty. Massive from Mooy.

If Denmark win against Peru then our Peru match could be a dead rubber very quickly.

Ryan man of the match easily
Risdon was hot and cold in attack but never stopped, running never tired. Aziz was a star
CB pairing was astounding, you could see millys and sains starting in any top league team in the world based on that performance.
Mooy is the team, besides being classy af he dived in for some absolutely last ditch tackles stealing the ball from nowhere in midfield to start new attacks. Mile J was perfect untill the last 20 when he tired badly. Rogic great, Irvine okay.
Kruse and Leckie played like experienced pro's, all of the caps they got under Ange have turned them from boys into men. The blooding and belief this team have gained from trying to play like Barca everyday is really shining through lately. Real pros
Nabbout pressed fantastically and we lost that when juric came on but gained more composure on the ball. I really think we need to try Cahill instead because he has both those skills in his bag.
The little back-heel pass from Arzani was great, need more of him but i understand sticking with the team when we were playing well.
Im actually really really happy with that game. The boys should be proud. We look a very good chance of making it out of the group, great to see after the completely uninformed negativity from some on here lately. No need to get carried away but we should feel good after that.

They underestimated us for maybe 10 minutes in that first half. We earned this.

Just myself and a couple of others rated Millsy all these naysayers can eat shit. He was immense.

We played well very happy with that effort. France werent great and a freak goal is what it took to beat us. Have to back it up now.

Who would’ve taken a 1 - 2 loss this time yesterday?
I know I would have.
But reality is we never put them under any pressure and hardly looked like scoring a goal. According to Fozz, Jedis pen was our only shot on target. We turned over mountains of ball and in the last 10 - 15 just hoofed endlessly down the field.
We kept it tight and fought hard. Hopefully we can stamp our mark on the game a bit more against weaker opponents and dominate the ball, leading to more scoring opportunities.

We need France to get their act together for the remaining group games. Griezeman will want to leave his mark. Perhaps Giroud to start.
As much as I want Arzani on earlier, Mile needed to be subbed for Luongo big time.

France beat us with a 60/40 pen and a lucky chip goal.
The boys should be very confident against Denmark & Peru.
