I had the same problem.....you can't use any free-mail e-mail address e.g hotmail, yahoo, etc. Have to have a ISP based e-mail address. I didn't bother at that point.

Correct, helps keep out spammers and people signing up multiple accounts. Pretty sure most people would have an ISP email address, even a school or university email address might get you in.

I've had my hotmail address for 10+ years now and have changed ISP about 6 times so never get an ISP e-mail address, so this stopped me from joining. Agree that it stops multi's, but makes it harder for some people to sign up.

I've had my hotmail address for just as long, and also changed ISPs. It's not like the forum is going to be sending you emails. Just use an ISP addy to get in, and once you're in, don't forget your login or password.

Yes i do have an ISP address, my only problem was not being able to find the registration page, i eventually found it and it said they wern't taking anymore registrations, did that happen for anyone else?

Registrations have been closed since late August. No luck finding out the reason though.
