+xReports Juric the only change to the line up. Can't say our line up hasn't been working but fatigue could really set in. I really feel for Luongo. Sounds about right. Especially from what we've seen from BVM. Absolutely shattering for Luongo. Probably won't see sub minutes either. Azzarni and Irvine will be two of the subs as per previous matches and probably Timmy on for Juric, though wouldn't be surprised if Macca came on instead.

Well Luongo played in the pre WC friendlies. Not so bad, he won't feel completely left out. Jedinak is just there for assurance in the middle. Not exactly pretty football.

I think the game plan will be the most effective. South American teams come out completely psycho and burn out. We should try to remember, not so much emulate, what we did against Honduras which was a 3-1 result.

I’m shattered for Luongo too but he was always going to have a hard time displacing Jedinak or Mooy.
This is possibly Jedinak’s international swansong and it will be up to Luongo to make the CM spot his own.
Luongo should be in the peak of his career for Qatar 2020.

Jedinak cannot play against South Americans. Gets rounded like a witches cone Luongo has to play

+xMy worry is a level score with France and Denmark with 30 to go. Both will be satisfied. It wouldn't be that Denmark is satisfied. Moreso that they would think why risk pushing for a goal if they risk knocking themselves out.

Apparently Rogic’s shot on goal in the 74th min against Denmark was our first non-pen shot on goal. Not what you want to hear going into a must win game.

We know we must score today. I felt the other days our players were wired too conservatively. When you know you have to score you'll really press.
I'd love an early going to keep Peru under pressure. Peru should own the start and we'll control the last hour.

+x+xI'm passing the time by editing wikipedia to change soccer to football. Wiki has all our national teams (mens and womens) as 'soccer' teams fyi. There are a few lamentable individuals that trawl football pages, changing every mention to soccer. Their comments on the talk pages show a lot of intellect. They claim that there was an official ruling that all Australia related references to the sport must be soccer, but this is not the case.

For some reason I don’t feel as nervous for this game as I did against Denmark.
Perhaps it’s because qualifying for the round of 16 is really just all hope rather than something we can actually control.

Crazier things have happened in football on final match day. 1:0 1:0 is enough. We need try and ignore the other game. If Denmark get a 2:0 lead I can see us throwing our game plan away and just trying to get a win. I want to win at all costs and then maybe France will give us the chance.

Arriving at the stadium now, we're definitely outnumbered, by a lot.

We'll probably be outnumbered but we have a lot of support in Sochi. Fans will give it their all.

Glad to have Jedinak for free kicks. Mooy barely hits the target. By saying this Mooy will score a screamer now.

So any danger men for Peru ? Sounds like a massive amount of inexperience in big matches like this ? Consisting of mainly local league players etc. Should not be too difficult tonight.
