During the Fox FFA Cup Broadcast on 1st August there was mention of September Friendlies for the Socceroos. Any knowledge on who and where please?

I’ve been asking for weeks... no one seems to know anything!!! Pretty piss weak!! Just after a World Cup people are keen to see the Socceroos and the ALeague is around the corner!!
You’d think they would be all over it!!
Honestly it’s like they can’t do two things at once!!
Shocking!!

Anyone heard or know anything? Is it only I that thinks it’s strange nothing has been locked in?

There were some rumours a while back, can't remember the teams mentioned but they were underwhelming from memory if true.

The international break is a month away so Arnie might be just going to run a camp for the squad.

The FFA can only do one task at a time. Right now that task seems to be derailing congress reform. Once that is done then they might be able to organise a friendly or two.

Surely Arnie will want to play at least one friendly! You could easily have a full week camp with a friendly match at the end!! Look Arnie wasn’t the manager at the World Cup so he has had plenty of behind the seasons planning! You’d think he would have been pushing for a friendly match months ago!! Anyone got an insider at all??? Can’t believe no journos have been asking about this!! Strange!!

I thought the same thing.
Pretty sure I heard: September - Camp, no game October - 1 game November - 2 games
??

Seems there is some misunderstanding. From the article:- "In the short term, Arnold revealed the FFA are lining up two friendlies in September – including a farewell for retired Socceroos legend Tim Cahill – and another in October ahead of the Asian Cup."
As I said elsewhere, not much time to organise friendlies in September!

It almost seems too late to organise an opponent. Very few seem available.

“Socceroos vs South Korea in mid November at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane is the other rumour for one of the November games. All games to be announced tomorrow or on Wednesday“
(Football Roos on Twitter)
F’ck me ... that would ruin one of my regular bitches ... it’s almost like the FFA is falling apart here and losing total control ...!?!
